Start from the beginning

A few moments later, Newt burst into the room, and, seeing as Celeste was helping the muggle, Newt instead repaired the apartment room.

"It's a murtlap bite." Celeste informed him in the midst of his repairing.

Both of them hearing footsteps and a shout of their names, Newt sped up his fixing and, leaving the building to build up by itself, he plopped on the bed and checked his case.

The moment Tina came in the room, Newt had snapped his case closed.

"It was open?" Tina asked.

"Just a smidge."

"That crazy niffler thing's on the loose again?"

"Uh, might be." Newt nodded his head, then gave a meek smile as Celeste turned her head from looking at Newt back to the man, smiling to herself at just how adorable Newt looked.

Snap out of it. She thought. This is not the right time to go crushing on someone.

Tina's eyes widened. "Then look for it! Look!"

She groaned, finding a bite on the muggle's neck and complaining, and that was until a murtlap popped out from under the muggle and pounced on the first thing it could find, in this case: Tina. Tina yelped and, shaking the murtlap off her hand, scooted behind as Celeste grabbed at the murtlap and stuffed it into Newt's case, who he had opened for her.

Celeste panted, looking up to see a smiling and.. Proud looking Newt? Shaking her head internally, she returned the smile and stood up.

"What is that?!" Tina asked.

"Nothing to worry about, that is, a murtlap."

"What else have you got in there?" Tina looked suspicious as her voice quieted down.

Newt didn't reply, and instead looked up to the muggle who had woken up, panting.

"You guys?"

"Hello." Newt said to the muggle.

"Easy, Mr--uh,"

"Kowalski, Jacob." The muggle--Jacob--replied with, just as Newt had took out his wand and pointed it at Jacob, preparing to Obliviate him.

Tina moved in front of Jacob. "You can't Obliviate him! We need him as a witness!"

Newt looked exasperated as he put his wand down. "I'm sorry you just yelled at me the length of New York for not doing it in the first place."

"He's hurt! He looks ill!"

"He'll be fine, murtlap bites aren't serious."

"Right." Celeste muttered sarcastically, and Tina gave Newt a look as Jacob had started groaning.

"That is a, slightly more severe reaction than I've seen," Newt said. "But if it was really serious then he'd have.."

"What?" Tina asked.

"Well the first symptom would be flames out of his anus, it'll be 48 hours at the most." Newt tried to reassure while Celeste moved in front of Jacob, who was now staring in horror at her as she smiled at Jacob, trying to calm him down.

"By the way, your croissants are amazing. You a baker or something?"

The corner of Jacob's mouth twitched, and he nodded mutely.

"You can keep him if you--"

"Oh keep him? We don't keep them! Mr. Scamander do you know, anything about the wizarding community in America?"

"I do know a few things actually, I do know you have, rather backwards stories with non-magic people. That you're not meant to befriend them, that you can't marry them, which seems mildly absurd to me--"

"--Who's gonna marry him?"

Celeste winced at those words.

"Ouch, bit harsh, aren't you?" Celeste asked Tina.

"You're all coming with me."

"I don't see why we need to come with you." Newt said, gesturing towards Celeste.

"Help me!" Tina demanded, trying to hold up Jacob.

"I'm dreaming, right? I'm tired. I never went to the bank, this is all just some big nightmare right?"

"That makes both of us, Mr. Kowalski."
