"You call that non-magic?"

Celeste, eyes following Tina's line of sight, watched in surprise as a bundle of coins fell onto the floor. Suddenly, little claws scrambled to pick them all up.

A dark platypus like creature popped his head out from under the shelf, and slowly reached for a dog's collar. 

A niffler. She thought.

Celeste, panicking as you weren't allowed to let creatures loose in New York, ran to the shelf and reached under, trying to find the niffler blindly.

Unable to find it, Celeste looked up to see the niffler running across the railings parting the elevators and the bank.

"Why, in the name of Merlin's saggy left--"

"--Because I let it loose," Someone said, causing Celeste to jump up in surprise. "not intentionally! Of course."

Celeste, curiosity taking over, stopped eyeing the niffler and turned around to see the same British guy Tina seemed to be tracking down.

"Hey! Mr. English Guy! I think your egg is hatching!" A voice yelled out from the other side of the room.

Me and the British man turned our heads to the voice in unison, to see a muggle holding an occamy egg.

"Oh, Merlin's beard." Celeste cursed, facepalming.

The British man, with quick thinking, summoned the man to him, and, slinging his arms around both Celeste and the muggle, Apparated to behind the stairs.

The British man put his wand between his teeth, and, holding the egg, watched it crack open and reveal a tiny occamy's head sticking out of the hole in the egg.

It was downright adorable.

The man walked down the stairs, and Celeste followed closely behind, fascinated by the creatures, and forgetting about the muggle, confused to death about what had just happened.

"In you hop." The man said, putting the egg in his case.

Celeste looked around, suddenly realizing that they were just outside the bank vault.

And the niffler was crawling through it.

"Absolutely not," The man said sternly. "Alohamora."

"Stop! For the love of--" Celeste tried to warn, being cut off by a plump muggle man with graying hair holding a briefcase.

"--Oh, so you're going to steal the money huh?"

The man slammed his palm into a button, setting off an alarm.

Reaching for her wand, Celeste muttered a spell: 

"Petrificus Totalus."

The entire bank vault door twisted open, and the man stepped in, grabbing the niffler by the legs and shaking the jewels out of his seemingly endless pocket. Despite the situation, Celeste couldn't help but smile, amused by the adorable sight in front of her, until she realized that the man had just broke into a bank vault. And she had just performed a full Body-Bind Curse on a muggle.

"We have to go! Now!" Celeste yelled, watching as a troop of security ran down the stairs.

Grabbing a frightened muggle by the arm and the wizard holding the niffler and briefcase, she Apparated behind the building.

"For the last time you pilfering pest, paws off what doesn't belong to you!" The man said sharply, stuffing a flailing niffler back into his briefcase.

"Sorry, but you have seen too much," Celeste stated to the muggle. "Just stand, righttt, here."

She stood back, about to Obliviate the man when he grabbed his briefcase and, muttering a quick 'sorry', swung the briefcase at Celeste's head.

The blow, too soft to cause any permanent damage, disoriented Celeste for a second before adjusted herself and, saw the man walking into public, diminishing any chance of Celeste making the muggle forget what he just saw.

"Are you all right?" The wizard asked, and she nodded, rubbing her eyes and shaking her head a bit.

They both headed out from the back of the building, when Celeste spotted Tina.

"Tina! Wha--" Tina grabbed the both of them and Apparated them behind a corner.

"--t are you doing here..." 

"Who are you? And what are you doing here helping him?" Tina asked, panting.

"I'm sorry," The wizard replied.

"Who are you?!" Tina repeated.

"Newt Scamander, and you guys are?"

Celeste's gasp was audible.
