I was standing outside my house, and a person walks up to me. "Hey, do you know ______ _____?" I'm not giving out the name, because I actually care about this person. A lot. "Yeah, I know her." I look at the guy, puzzled, wondering why he asks me if I know her.
"What do you think about her?" He asks me this question like it's an everyday thing, and it stuns me slightly. "I care about her, more than I care about myself. Some say I even love her, which isn't untrue.." The guy looks at me, and asks, "If it came down to it, whose life is worth more? Yours, or hers?" "Hers," I instantly reply. Her life is so much more valuable than mine, in so many ways.
"What if I say that she sort of feels the same way?" Puzzled, I look at the guy, wondering where this is coming from. "I'd say she sees me as a friend. She's not into me like that, if she were, we'd be together right now."
"Checkmate, man. My name is Kyle, by the way. Call me when you're ready." He hands me a card, and walks away. I look after him, and see her running towards me. Too stunned to move, I watch as her long flowing red hair floats through the air like it's just a banner flying in the wind. So beautiful, so graceful. She reaches me, slamming into me, into my embrace.
I hug her, breathing in her essence, enjoying the scent of her hair. It abruptly stops as I feel her lips pressed against mine.
