Lemonita P.O.V
I saw him walking into the store, his bright yellow peel shining in the light passing through the window. As I stared at him, I did my best to stay hidden behind the shelves.
I work at a small produce mart, were I to tell you the name of it you would probably never remember it, yet, for such a small and inconspicuous business, there walked in the most beautiful 'mon I have ever seen. Glistening golden peel, handsome divets in the skin, and two pointed ends that I just can't seem to stop looking at.
As I was turned away, in a stupor from seeing such a glorious specimen, I don't notice that he has come down the aisle and has been trying to get my attention. Flustered, I turn to him and try my best to keep my voice level.
"M-may i h-help you Sir?" I asked, my voice quivering.
He responds in a voice so deep and silky, it practically made me peel, "Yes, i am looking for some celery, but i cannot find it, would you mind showing me where it is?"
I swallow, pulping up a bit, "Y-yes, sir, right this way."
"Thank you," he replied, picking up his basket of produce and following me.
'There is absolutely no way that he didn't see me blushing right there,' I think to myself, leading the way over to the area of the celery.
I bring him over to the display area of the stalks of celery, now only 50% off, with the brand of it being Celery Stalkers, "Don't worry, we are the good kind of stalkers," honestly i find their tagline to be a bit. . . unappealing, but they are a surprisingly successful celery chain.
He walks up to the side of me, glancing over, "A bit of an unsightly catchphrase, don't you think?" he says, giving a gentle smile.
"U-uh, yes, I think so too," I say, feeling the juice rush up to my face once more.
"But, what can you do? They do provide a good product after all!" he said, grabbing a few stalks and putting them in the basket.
"W-will that be all, sir?" I said, both wanting to get away, yet wishing to stay a bit longer.
"Yes, that is all I want, but I thank you for your hard work, see ya~!" he said, giving what I think is a bit of a flirtatious nod and walks off.
I look at him as he walks towards the register, wishing that one day I will be able to see him once more.
Little did I realize how quickly that wish would be granted.
