I lay on the hill side and watch the stars as I hear mother call my name, Alice! Come get your food! I let out a sigh. Ever sense she lost her job so was becoming abusive.. verbally and physically, I dread the thought of going home most days after school but neither did I want to be at school.
"Alice I said now!" My mother yelled snapping me out of thought. I got up running to the house, it was nothing big but it was ours, just a little wooden cabin. As I reached the front door mother stood waiting on me. "Some days I swear your deaf" she spat at me as she shoved my shoulder and handed me my plate. I ignored her and went to my room. I sat my plate on my night stand and laid across my bed. I lied there looking up at the ceiling thinking to myself and suddenly I heard my phone go off, I picked up my phone to see my friend kato had text me. I love talking to Kato he always makes me feel so much better I always had a crush on him but our friend ship meant way too much to me to ruin it or even gave it a chance.
"Alice texting Kato"
K: hey Alice what's up?
A: nothing. Just got in, what about you?
K: nothing just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out.
A: sure be over in a few!
I stuck my phone in my pocket and jumped up heading for my bedroom door as my mother came around the corner. " you not gonna fucking eat?" She said as she blocked my door, I'm not hungry momma I said as I stared at the ground . My cooking not good enough you ungrateful bitch! She said striking me in the cheek. I grabbed my cheek and held back tears " momma your drunk I can smell it on you!" I yelled quickly backing up. "So what if I am cunt!" She yelled as she came closer to me. I held my breath hoping not to get hit again and closed my eyes as tight as I could. She stopped and looked me up and down before leaving my room I feel to the floor letting out a sigh of relief.
