Chapter1: Childhood

"Come on aunt Carla we will miss the becoming ceremony. Come on this year I have to go!" I yell for my guardian placing a beanie over my long thick brown hair.

"Alright Vixen calm down. I know you are very excited but you need to calm down." My aunt says trying to calm me down. I take a deep breath.

"Alright now i'm ready to go." I says straightening my black jeans and 21 Pilots shirt as well as my black leather jacket. I run to the backyard door and to the yard. I look around smelling the air to see if I can smell my pack.

The pack contains of one alpha. Quite strong since I wrestle with him the most. Me being Alpha in training, which is second in command. The third in command are the Three betas. And the rest are regular members of the pack still trying to make a name for themselves. An Omega which is very annoying. One Gamma which is my aunt Carla. One Theta which is pretty cool.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by my aunt yelling at me for dozing off. I finally get let loose and start to run. I signal for my aunt to follow. I soon meet up with one of my pack mates that's in there wolf form. They nudge me as I was running. I roll my eyes and push them as I continue to run and I see more of them.

"I see you finally made it." One of my fellow pack mate says.

"Oh shut it Julian." I say as I push him playfully. He chuckles and follows me. I look around seeing some of the guys changing back into their human form. Then getting clothes thrown at them. I chuckle at that for having some gentlemen and some not. Julian shifted out of his wolf form and put some pants on. He sonders over to another friend of ours, a beta.

"What's up V?" Julian says putting his arm on the shoulder of Samuel.

"Nothing much just wondering why haven't we seen the candidates this year?" I ask walking next to Sam and looking around.

"I'm not sure they were planning on announcing them sooner but didn't." Sam says looking around to see if they could spot any candidates. Nope, none.

"Well I don't-" Julian started to say but was cut off by the alpha walking passed the three of us. Looking at me, signaling for me to follow. I nod and wave the two off. I see that he has collected the Theta and Gamma.

"Alright I will introduce the candidates soon, please look over them and try not to scare them too much, like last time. Steven, V." Alpha says giving both of us a pointed look.

"Alright Max." Aunt Carla says. Steven (theta) and I straighten up.

"Yes sir." We say in unison. When Max walks off Steven and I relax and walk over to the candidates.

"Well aren't they cute." Steven says to me giving me a smirk I knew all too well. The two guys look at me to see what I'll say.

"They sure are you think they're scared or something?" I say smiling showing them my sharp teeth. One of there heartbeats quicken. I soon feel a pain of a claw on my ear.

"Ow ow ow!!" Steven and I say in unison.

"Stop it you two you scared the candidates last year and their heartbeat quickens every time they see you." Aunt Carla says. She lets go of our ears.

"Ok I'm sorry. It's just a habit." Steven says rubbing his ear as I do the same.

"I apologize, now what were your names again?" I ask fixing my hair around my ear. The one on the left spoke first.

"Jackson and this is Kevin." Jackson says gesturing towards boy on his right.

"What are you a tuff guy." Steven says crossing his arms. I chuckle a bit.
