Inuyasha became a bit uneasy. He and his friends were continuing their usual routine, finding the sacred jewel shards and finding Naraku. Those was what Inuyasha should usually consider his first priority, but today was different. He couldn't allow his friends to see what happens to him.

"Let's take a rest." Kagome suggested, putting her bag down. Inuyasha was relieved, but he pretended to be irritated. "You want to rest NOW?" he asked in the most annoyed tone he could use. Kagome frowned. "We have to!" she said. "We're tired! We don't have the energy like you!"

"She's right, Inuyasha." Miroku agreed, taking Kagome's side. "We're humans." Sango decided to add another sentence to back him up. "We don't have as much energy as you do." she added in. "Shippo is also tired. Right, Shippo?"

Shippo nodded in agreement. "I'm just a kid! You can't expect me to have as much energy!" he said. Kirara meowed in agreement, being unable to talk. Inuyasha was more relieved, but he continued his act. "Fine!" he retorted. "Have your own ways!"

He then stormed off and his friends watched. They all exchanged glances as Inuyasha disappeared into the bushes. "Think we went too far?" Miroku asked. Kagome felt a bit guilty. She didn't mean for Inuyasha to feel that way, nor did she want to hurt Inuyasha.

...............

Inuyasha made sure to get as far away as he could from his friends and the camping site. The night was getting near and he didn't want his friends to know his secret. No, it was too much too horrible for them to know what happens on this night. No one must know.

Finally, night fell and the full moon rose into the sky. Inuyasha suddenly fell weak and he fell to his knees. He was sure that his friends can't find him anymore. He began to sweat and panted hard. An excruciating pain tore through his body and he screamed in pain. Thank god he was far away from his friends.

A light then engulfed him and Inuyasha shrieked. The pain was unbearable. The light became a bit more brighter before dying down, one last scream escaping Inuyasha. When the light died down, two people were revealed.

The first one had black hair and beautifully light skin. He had no claws and only had normal fingernails. Human ears were at each side of his ears. Around his neck were the beads of subjugation. His body was clothed in the robe of the fire rat. He groaned and his eyes opened, revealing beautiful brown coloured eyes. He had a mellow and kind appearance. This boy was the human side of Inuyasha.

The other person had silver hair that shone under the full moon light. His skin was fair and on his face were two stripes, one on each side. He had two dog ears protruding at the top of his head. He too, wore the beads of subjugation and the robe of the fire rat. He had claws akin to a dog's; sharp and deadly. His eyes slowly opened, revealing a pair of deadly, red coloured eyes with white pupils and blue irises. He had a deadly and malicious appearance. This boy was the demon side of Inuyasha.

The shriek that Inuyasha had released seemed to have attracted a demon that was hunting. A roar sounded through the forest and the trees came crashing down. This startled the human just a bit, but did not scare him. The demon, on the other hand, was happy that he had something to kill. "This shall be my exercise!" he chuckled, sharpening his claws.

The ogre came into full sight. It was huge and scary. It eyed the human, who stood there with a brave face. He had faced more dangerous creatures before. The demon leapt towards the demon. "That boy is mine!" he screamed, tearing the ogre into half with just his claws. The ogre shrieked and it died, its pieces of flesh falling onto the ground.
