Thanksgiving Day
Me and the ladies well just the ladies I had cranberry juice were drinking wine in the kitchen waiting in the turkey to finishwhile the guys was in August man cave. When my mom and mama Sheila kept staring at me and whispering to each other.
Persia:Yes is there something y'all wanna say to me
MamaT:First cut the attitude a
MamaS:Second yes your pregnant
I ayood there frozen before I start busting out laughing
Persia:Hell noo
MamaT&MamaS:Mmmmmhmm
Ding* The timer went off we called the children and men up and we all sat down at the table
MamaSheila:Aug lead the prayer
August:Ight grab hands and bow your heads Dear heavenly father we thank you for bringing us all together on this day that we give thanks to all the things you've given us and for all the good fortune you've given us we come to you thanking you for allowing s to accomplish our dream and accomplish things we never thought we could. We come to you thanking you for wavhing over us along with Mel in your sons name we pray Amen

We start passing the food around. As we were eating I figured it was now or never I stood up grabbed my glass and tapped it. When I got everyone's attention I cleared my throat and began speaking
Persia: Umm I just wanna say that I'm thankful to have all you wonderful people in my life to call a family" I turned to my momma" And momma thanks for being there when I needed you the most we've had a rough pat but weve managed with that being said I love you guys and August" I turned to August" I love you baby and I want you to know the reason I been acting weird lately is because I have my balloon!" I said with a big ass koolaid smile. Everyone lookedat me confused except my mama.
MamaT:You serious you have a balloon?
Persia:Yes mama
August:Can someone tell me what the hell a balloon gots to do with this
My mama smiled before she turned to August with happy tears.
MamaT:When Persia was little and I pregnant she couldn't say pregnant so she would call my stomach a balloon cause the balloons from the baby shower was as big as my stomach ever since then she calls pregnant women balloons
A look of realization flashed across everyone's face and August stood up with a blank face he turned to me and looked in my eyes for a clue if I was lying.
August:Your pregnant?" He whispered
Persia:Yep
August:My baybeh in there
He said touching my stomach
Persia:Yep
August:Awww shit I'm finna be a daddy yall
We all laughed at August foolishness then he turned seriouse. And got down on one knee.

When she announced she was pregnant I couldn't think of Jo better time than now to asked her so I got on one knee grabbed her hand and said
August:Persia when I first saw you I swear I thought you was the finest guh around then you put my ass in check real quick when I tried to give you attitude even told me my di-gco by MamaSheila
MamaSheila:Children August
August:Oh yeah well you said something and later on got proven wrong now you having my baybeh Persia I'm sorry but I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore
As I said that I looked and seen her smile turn to a frown as she started crying I only smiled and continued
August:Cut all that crying out guh I don't want you to be my girlfriend I want you to be my wife with that being said Persia Antonia Wesley will you do me the honor of beconing my wife?
Everyone gasped and looked at Persia waiting for her answer

PersiaPOV
Since he wanted to play with me I decided to play with him I frowned took h hand from his and said
Persia:I'm sorry August but no I'm not ready
He looked like somebody stabbed him, he got off his knees and I turned like I was walking away then turned around ran back to his arms
Persia:I'm just playing yes I'll marry you
He smiled and hugged me tight he put the ring finger I gasped as I looked at it. I looked at him with wide eyes and he kissed me.
What a wonderful Thanksgiving.
