Let me tell you what I remember most:

Sitting on a bench

on that park we stumbled upon

when we both decided to walk around the city one late afternoon

walking until our feet hurt, laughing so loud people thought we were drunk.

We sat there, just listening to the sound of our breaths, taking time

waiting for the lights to come on,

for the wind to blow on the crystal chimes hung on the trees alive with leaves,

enfolding us.

Everything was so vivid...

like time was taking a photograph of us

perhaps knowing that the moment would come

when memories are but blurred images,

their meaning tampered by time

and we'd be reduced to telling each other

what we remember most.
