Chapter 6 - The Storm.

A few weeks later.

I hadn't told anyone about the night I spent with Charlie. I mean, it 

was none of their business anyway!

Charlie and I had decided to keep our relationship a secret, but we 

still spent every spare moment together!

It was stormy tonight, and the thunder kept the children awake, so I 

spent half the night calming Eloise down, and reading to Samuel and 

Lucette by candle light.

All three children had settled down at long last, but unfortunatly for 

me, I now was unable to sleep! Typical!

I sat up in my bed, and looked out of the window. The rain was very 

heavy, and I watched each raindrop bounce off the glass. Every now and 

then there was a rumble of thunder, and a flash of light that lit up 

the sky. I hugged my duvet, I had always hated thunder storms.

I was half asleep when I heard it again.

The same voices echoed around me like they had a few weeks back. I 

couldn't make out what they were saying, but every now and then a high 

pitched scream was heard.

I pulled the duvet over my head, I couldn't deal with this right now.

The mumbled voices were getting louder and louder, I couldn't block 

them out.

All of a sudden the house began to shake, the children woke up crying, 

and I saw lights turn on. I remained under the duvet. Tears poured 

down my cheeks, this was all too much to handle. Someone ripped the 

duvet off me, and I opened my eyes.
