The Refugee "Crisis"

We shut our gates,

And kick you out,

The majority do hate you,

They forget what our country's all about,

We dont even care,

That you're tired, hungry, starving;

We all look away as you hopefully stare,

We hear all of these stories, so awe inspiring,

Soldiers on the battle field taking care

Of the brothers they lost, are shot, home gone,

And our children seek the adventure that brings,

Waiting for the call of duty to sing,

But these small soldiers of ours need not skills to kill,

Or the strength to carry a large back-pack,

But what they need,

Is the humanity we lack,

To let you in,

To open our gates,

To love,

Not hate,

So open the door;

Wear your heart on your sleeve,

And accept.
