It was June 24, 2016.

I remember the day perfectly..down to the littlest detail..

I was 25 at the time, I was visiting my parents for the weekend. I hadn't seen them in a long time. Every thing was normal when I was over there. I played with my younger siblings in the yard, I helped my mother out with her rose garden, I even played catch with my father like I used to. We got a long well, I guess you could say we were the perfect family.

Eventually though, all good things must come to an end.

I got in my car, turned on the engine, and waved goodbye to my relatives before pulling off.

The road trip wasn't long, two hours to be precise, but I was exhausted, and it was 12:35 am. I continued to drive, trying my best to stay awake. I noticed a gas station nearby and decided to pick up a cup of coffee for the road.

I parked my car somewhere away from the gas posts, but close enough to the door. Once I walked in, I instantly got a chill up my spine. The room was extremely cold. I asked the guy behind the counter if he had a coffee making machine so that I could make it myself. He pointed to one that was on the table to my left. I got to work on making the coffee. I did my usual half coffee, half milk, all sugar drink. It was enough to give someone diabetes, or maybe even cure it, I don't know, I'm not a doctor.

After I paid for my coffee and headed outside, I looked up at the night sky, to my surprise, it was a full moon. Didn't expect it. It was...beautiful. It shines brightly, lighting up the sky and countryside. I hopped into my car, and drove off.

Later on in my apartment, I walked in, dropped my luggage, and texted my girlfriend letting her know I was home. She responded almost immediately, letting me know that she'll drop by tomorrow to welcome me back.

I left my phone on the charger, walked into the living room, and preceded to watch assassination classroom on my television.

Then...suddenly...I got the same I chill I got at the gas station...which was strange because...the atmosphere in my apartment was warm..hot even..hot enough to boil an egg without a stove it seemed.

I looked behind me to see if someone was there, breathing down my neck. To my surprise, there was no one there, nothing but a dark hallway leading to the door of my apartment. I'm positive I locked it before sitting down. I turned around and paid no attention to it. However, the most perplexing thing happened next. I looked at my television and saw my reflection, but behind me..It looked like..a child..a girl to be specific. She had long hair and it was out. No rubber bands holding it up or anything. She was white, green eyes, wore jeans, and a t-shirt, but I couldn't make out what it had said on it. I turned around to see if It was a figment of my imagination.

...there was...no one there..

I quickly turned around to look back at the tv, and the image had changed once again. This time, it was a tall, slender man in a tuxedo. I couldn't make out his face, but he seemed to be lacking facial features.

I turned around once again, and once again I saw nothing! I was confused and at this point? angry. First the girl, then a slender figure, what would be next I wondered...I turned around...

There was a boy...standing in front of me...he wasn't a reflection like the last two...he was there...physically there..I could hear his breathing..feel his presence...it was terrifying...

He didn't move, and he didn't speak. He just stood there with his head looking down at the floor, wearing a hoodie and jeans and sneakers. He had his hoodie covering his head.

He reached into his pocket and slowly pulled a kitchen knife. I immediately jumped out of my seat and dashed towards the door. But the boy grabbed my shirt, turned me around and pinned me against the wall. I was sweating in places I didn't know I could, and as I looked behind him, I noticed the slender man and the girl standing on both the boy's sides. As I looked farther into the distance, I saw out my window...a crescent moon...the light, glaring into my apartment.

The slender man grabbed me by the neck and lifted me up higher. I couldn't breathe. I was practically gasping for air..the girl tied up my limbs with tape so that I couldn't resist. The boy stood there and watched and once the girl was done, he quickly adjusted his knife and attempted to stab me directly in the face! I closed my eyes and prayed that this was all a dream..then suddenly..everything felt..still..

I opened my eyes, only to find that the moon was covered by a cloud and that I wasn't tied up...

I sprinted towards the window and closed the shades, ran to my room, locked the door and got into my covers..I couldn't sleep that night..

The next day, my girlfriend dropped by like she said she would. I explained to her the bizarre evening I had. She asked me if I was drinking or did I do anything that could've caused me to imagine all that stuff happening to me. I told her that it wasn't my imagination..it felt too real..then I remembered something..

She looked at me curiously and asked me what was on my mind, and my exact words were..
