My Best Friend loves me?

Chapter 2

I opened the door and let Catlyn in first just like how a gentleman would do.

She laughed a little and got in then I followed. When we got in,we went separate ways to our chairs.

I was at the last row so that means I am at the fifth row while Catlyn was at the fourth row. To our luck,her seat is in front of mine which is a good sign and we can communicate better through paper. Like,if History class gets boring all of a sudden,we would always communicate with each other with the use of paper.

As we sat on our chairs I sighed and started reading my favorite manga,Attack On Titan. Our teacher would always arrive late after the bell rings so that is a great chance to spend a little more free time.

I was at the middle of the manga when there was a hand,slammed on top of my desk which startled me. I looked up to see Timothy,the joker of the class.
He smiled,"Yo,Bastian! What's up?".
I shrugged,"I am reading my manga actually..".

"Its the sky,silly!",he joked and laughed. I sighed and shook my head,"You are not using your damn common sense,bud.",I told him as I started concentrating on the manga more.

I could feel his smirk and I felt the strange tension."So~ How are you and your girlfriend,hmmm?~",he teased.
I flinched and blushed at what he said,"S-She is not my girlfriend...",I told him.

He was about to tease me again when our teacher,Ma'am Helaven,arrived with the same strict face.

"Shit... ",Timothy mumbled and  went to his seat quickly which is at the third row.

I sighed and returned my manga back to my bag. I was thankful that she arrived just in time he would tease me again..

Ma'am Helaven smiled a bit and went to the teacher's desk,"Greetings class.. For today,I will give you a project for the fourth grading which is the last grading.".

She sat down on her chair and then opened her notebook to check what will be our project for the fourth grading.

"Ah.. You guys will be paired as partners to research the following.. All you have to research about are: The History of Dr. Jose Rizal and Lapulapu. Simple as that,I will be the one to pair you to make things quicker.",she got her pen then listed the names  that will be paired for the project on a piece of paper and said the names that will be paired.

"Brian and Dave,Steve and John,Timothy and Jack,Drake and Lava,Mellaby and Riana--",then she  mentioned more.

"Lastly.. Bastian and Catlyn.",She said and still wrote on a piece of paper. I was shocked and thankful at the same time but I my feelings we're stopped as a piece of paper hit my cheek. I looked down as it dropped to the floor, so I got it.
It read:

"Cool!  We're on the same boat, Bastian!"

I smiled and then wrote back:

"I know right?  Meet me at my place so we could research together..  Maybe around 5 pm after class. "

I crumpled the paper and threw it at her bag which she noticed then opened it to read it.

"I want those researches on Monday! If you are not able to pass on Monday then you'll fail my subject. ",she said as she looked at us.

I  felt something hit at my face again,it was a crumpled paper. I opened it to see a reply from her:

"Sure,see Ya there."

I smiled at the note and ignored ma'am Helaven discussing because I was planning for the research.
