Braelynn's POV:

I was sitting quietly in my room, with the lamp on looking at a photo album I found in my closet. It was after midnight and I was about to turn off the light when, suddenly, there was a ting on my window. I glanced up and watched the window. After a moment, a small grey object hit the window and made the same noise. I nervously walked to the window and looked out and scanned my front yard.

"Braelynn! Braelynn, down here!" I heard the familiar voice that made my heart flutter call out softly. I smiled and opened the window. He was standing there with a handful of rocks in his hands and when he saw me, he dropped them and had that sweet smile on his face that always made me happier.

"Branden what are you doing here? It's after midnight." I whispered. He tells me that he couldn't sleep so I invite him inside. He climbs up the ladder on the side of the house before climbing into my room through the window. I ask him why he couldn't sleep.

"I had some stuff on my mind is all," he tells me. Confused, I sit down and wait for his explanation. He tells me that his sister, Erica, is acting up again and he doesn't know why. I ask him what she's doing this time with a look of judgement on my face. He knows I don't like Erica because of she what she did to me back in sophomore year of high school.

Flashback (Braeylnn's POV):

I walked into school wearing my favorite black skinny jeans and white crop top, complete with red converse. Just as I opened my locker, Erica came flouncing up to me with a huge smile on her face.

"Wassup Erica," I asked her. she told me that she just did something exciting.

"What did you do," I questioned with an annoyed look on my face. Before she could answer, my boyfriend, Tyrik, came up behind Erica and hugged her from the back, kissing her on the top of the head as if he didn't see me standing right there. I cleared my throat to get his attention and he glanced up and smirked at me. I looked at Erica to see her smirking too. Tears filled my eyes as I realized what happened. I punched Tyrik once in the face and turned to walk away before he could respond to my punch. As I rounded the corner, away from their sight, I broke down in tears, struggling to hold it together.

"What happened," i heard an all too familiar voice say softly in my ear. I looked up to see Branden watching me with concern and anger on his face. I sniffled and hid my tear stained face in my knees. He sat down next to me and held me while I cried. He comforted me until I was calm enough to tell him what happened.

End of Flashback

That was the day I realized Erica was a thot. I haven't seen her the same way since. I glanced up at my best friend and smiled at him. My smile slowly turns into a suspicious smirk as he tells me that Erica has been coming home late at night drunk with her clothing disheveled. I chuckle darkly and stand to walk around the room slowly. I look back at Branden to see him looking sad.

"What do you want to do to take your mind off of Erica," I ask him. He tells me there is a party a few blocks away that he wants to go to.

"Let's go then," I say happily.
