this is an old song that I wrote. it's not very good, but I hope you like it!

The snow reflects flashing warning lights, bathing my world in red

Scarlet roses hide the thorns behind their velvet petals

Ghosts beckon me to sleep with them

But I know their ice cold beauty is a mask

Never dream, never live, never realize

That all we're living is a lie

Open up your eyes

See beyond the dark masquerade before it's too late

Forever we dance alone at the dark masquerade ball

I wear my party dress, but there's no celebrating tonight

I try to drown the screams as I dance alone in the dark

The moon smiles at us from up above

Has she forgotten our pain?

Everything spins faster and faster until it's all a blur

All we are is spiraling downwards towards the end
