A/N: I was not able to finish the translation of this novel. I hope this (uploading it on Watty) will force me to complete it.
**********
People were looking at me when I got off the bridal car. Well, they have a lot of reasons to. This was my day. I was wearing the most fabulous bridal gown a bride could have ever dreamed of. I knew I was the prettiest girl around at that very moment.
Benz, my gay best friend who happened to be my wedding planner, came rushing towards me. He seemed very worried.
"Lexy babe," he greeted and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Don't be shocked. Anton is nowhere to be found," he whispered.
"What do you mean, 'nowhere to be found'?" I asked, squinting a little bit.
"He was here a while ago but he just disappeared. I couldn't find him now. "
I tried to maintain my composure although I started to get nervous. I convinced myself that my fiancé is just around the corner, waiting for me.
"Did you check the restroom? Maybe he went there. "
"I already did. Several times actually. I also looked for him everywhere including the convent nearby. I couldn't find him. And Laurie's gone, too!"
Laurie? My maid of honor? How could that be? She called me up a while ago to tell me that she was already on her way to the church.
My heart started pounding loudly. I could hear it. But Benz should not know that I was terrified inside. I pretended that everything was fine. That he was just being worried for nothing.
My father came to me. He looked very pale. I could tell that he was pretty worried, too..
"Hija (my daughter)," was all he could say and he hugged me tightly.
While hugging my father, I motioned for Benz to call Anton again. But before he could place a call, my phone rang. Yaya Merced, my former governess, took it from my bag which she carries for me and gave me the phone.
It was Anton! He was calling off the wedding! He said he couldn'tgo through with it. He was asking for my forgiveness. Automatically, I gotdizzy and my knees began to tremble. Before I lose consciousness, I heard thepeople around us screamed, "Oh my God! The bride fainted!"
