*sigh

Summer vacation was going to start soon but why on earth did I still have to be in school? I mentally groaned at the thought, "One more week," i thought hoping it would keep my anxiety at bay. Someone shook my hard hard, "DANA!!! WAKE UP! CLASS IS OVER!!"

I cringed at the sound of my best friends voice in my ear. Her high pitched voice made it seem as if she was pinching my skin when goosebumps arose from my it.

"Geez!!! WAY TO MAKE ME DEAF JULIA!!" I rose from my seat and pushed her back, yeah i was being a bit bitchy but its not we all havent. I stormed out of the classroom and into the next which turned out to be chem, 'great more time to daydream.'

I only got so far as my head almost connected with my desk when my so called friends decide its funnier to clap loudly in my ear. Instantly i woke up in time to hear snickers from beside me and an angry looking teacher in front of me, if it werent for my strangly good grades even though i fall asleep in class, the teacher Ms, Larson, wouldve been way more pissed at me. She turned made a 'Humph' sound and continued on teaching as if i did not just interrupt by sleeping.

Another bell.

I ran for the exit knowing that now i get to get out of school, heh im a bookworm,  but that doesnt make me a nerd, i technically hate textbooks and school and work, so yeah i dont know what i am if anybody tried to fit me into a category of "what were you in high school."

Walking home was relaxing, as i managed to avoid any encounters with my friends when i left. I loved them but alone time was way to peaceful to give up at that moment, My earplugs in my ear were blasting music as i walked around, watching the wind blow on the leaves and the sun making everything look so happy and warm. Summer was always a good time even if it wasnt my favorite season, it was good enough.

I had hardly walked a mile away from school when i heard beeping from behind. I turned to see a sleek black car behind, note im not exactly a car person either so no way in hell would i know the name of it but i do know that it is a beaut. The driver, drove the car up to where i was standing so that i would be staring at my reflection in his dark window. Whoever drove it, rolled down the window slowly as if he were in some spy movie where he thought this looked cool, admitidly it mightve to some girls, i shook my head at this thought. 'Girls nowadays have no shame if this stupid thing worked to get them.'

Finally the window was down and all i could see was a guy probably 18 from the looks of it and from my school judging by where he just came from. He took in my appearance as i tried to remember what i was wearing, it was close to summer so i wore a tank, pink and white with the straps as if they were woven and a light blue cardigan over it and light blue capris with tan gladiator shoes. Nerd or not, my sense of style was like every other girls' except more towards comfy instead of sexy. My dark brown hair was in a loose braid and i wore glasses.

I stared at him as he did me, he was wearing a blue button up which seemed to fit snuggly on his body, he had on aviators and black hair that was tumbling a bit in front of his face, it was long and shaggy but cut in a way that seemed to frame his face nicely. i couldnt exactly see lower but i didnt care to. The boy finally opened his mouth in what seemed like forever and glanced at me, his deep voice saying, "Hey you look like you could you a ride," he smirked a smirk that made me know exactly what he was thinking, and i had my answer 'No thanks.'

I dont walk away knowing that people usually follow you especially if you just rejected them. So he finally speaks again, "wait what?" as if he couldnt believe what he was hearing. I rolled my eyes, guess ill be polite, "I said no, but thanks, i prefer walking." with this i walked away towards a park that was closed off because of some cleaning things they were doing to fix it up.
