I'm so glad that the first day of school is over! I always dread the first day back! Only 4 more days until the weekend. I get home and turn my phone on. I have a message from a random number saying "I really enjoyed walking to school with you today, I would love to get to know you better! Would you like to come to the beach with me this afternoon?" It must be Jai! I wonder how he got my number? Anyway, I text back "Sounds great, I will meet you there in 10 minutes." I am so excited! I don't know what to wear. Argh! I meet Jai at the beach and we sit there and tell each other about our lives for an hour. Then, we decide to have a quick dip in the water. All of a sudden our heads turn to face one and other and Jai leans in. I jerk back. So many thoughts go through my mind. This is my first kiss. What if our noses bump! That will be so embarrassing. What do I do. Act cool, Beunka (I am thinking to myself). Jai try's again, he leans in and so do I. We kiss. This feels so awkward, but good! I feel so safe with Jai, even though he is merely known to me. I stay in his arms and we kiss in the water for what feels like forever.
