chapter 1

Chapter 1 

I slowly opened my eyes only to close them again a few seconds later, because the sun was shinning in my eyes...I really need to remeber to close my blindes at night.

I started to slowly attemped to open my eyes once again. And this time they agusted to the light a lot quicker. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom which was across the hall from my room before any one else could get it.

As soon as the door was shut behind me i looked into the mirror and saw my blue eyes staring right back at me. My red hair that goes down just past my shoulders looked like a birds nest. Instead of being in natural curls. As I turned my head and look at the clock thats on the wall in the bathroom, my breath hitched and my face fell in horror. Im going to be late. So I quickly stripped down and jumped into the shower as fast as I could.

Once I was done I walked back into my room, then got my school uniform from my closet and quickly put it on. The school uniform was nothing special, just a white blouse with the school loggo on the front. A dark blue skirt with two pleets in it and a red jumper, which I’ve desided not to wear today seeing as its summer so it would be far to hot for it.

I grabbed my black flats and then ran to my brother Daniels car. He has a red toyota, so nothing special.

The first thing I hear once I was finally seated in the car with my seat belt done up was  ‘‘Fern, your late and you forgot your bag smart-a$$'' I groand and then ran back inside to grab my bag from my room.

Okay, time for the second attempt. Get in the car and...‘‘Did you have breakfast?'' sometimes its nice to know that my brother cares, but other times...I really hate it.

‘‘No, but-'' I didnt get to finish my sentens before...

‘‘Grab an apple or something, now'' once again I groand and got out of the car, ran back inside and got an apple. Ran back outside, got in the car, put the seat belt on then shuved the apple in my mouth then turned to my brother with a glare clear to see on my face and said ‘‘happy?!''

‘‘Not really, because now we’re going to be late ...oh and you have to tie your hair up dumb-a$$'' I groand and took the hair tie off my rist and then tied my hair up. Once I was done Daniel FINALLY started the car and began to back out of the drive way so that we could begin to make our way to school.

‘‘Got any test today?'' Daniel asked me while trying to kick start a conversation.

‘‘Nope'' I said while popping the p.

‘‘Okay, well...what are you doing after school today?'' he asked trying to start another conversation.

‘‘Umm...nothing really ...I might go for a walk down to the river, but thats it'' the river at the end of our road is just breath taking. And seeing as I live out in the country side, the walk to the river is nice and peaceful. When you get there you can almost always see people on the river with their boats, but not me. I have my own little corner where I love to sit by the water and just read for hours. Its also a really great place to just let your mind run wild.

‘‘Its your birthday...your 16 now. You have to do something for it. Maybe just a small party?'' Daniel said while interrupting my little day dream of the river.

‘‘I dont have to, and plus...who would I invite?!''

‘‘Well...umm...there’s...err...''-silence-

‘‘Thats what I thought'' I said berally even in a whisper, but I knew that he had heard me by the sad look in his eyes.
