I walked alone as I passed by crumbling buildings, hoping that there's more than me and the misty air around me. I stopped and realized I walked to a damaged house. I looked at the door and my eyes widened. It had my mom's address. I started to remember the time I was with my mom and the horrifying day after.
I was playing around with my little watering can and mom said "Come Connie I need help watering the flowers!" I skipped to her and a tripped over a rock spilled almost all the water on the ground. I sobbed when I saw a sharp rock in my knee. I heard running and saw my dad with his little lab coat. "Is she ok?!" "Yes," mom said in a calm voice, "just a little rock." Mom walked to me and took off her gardening gloves. She pulled the little rock out, "Get the bandages." Dad rushed into the house and came back a few mins later with a roll of it and gave it to mom. She wrapped it up quickly. "That should help it," she said as she gently hugged me. I closed my eyes while rubbing my knee and feel into another flashback. I was hiding in the bathtoom hugging my knees as I hear screaming from mom and dad's bedroom. They were arguing. I tried all I can to block the noise but nothing could help. An hour passed and I hear somebody getting out the house. Next day they had a divorce.
I came out of my flashback with tears streaming down my face.
I wanted to see them again.
