Saving Cats Anybody? <Chapter One>

Y/N's Pov

I had m0ved away to london after uni, I was hoping Phil, my ex, would not follow as well. And here i am, sitting in my apartment, watching Shakespeare's As You Like It. I grabbed my laptop and opened the lid. I typed in my password and pulled up safari, and typed in youtube. I didn't want to pull up his channel but, i wanted to see what he was up to these days, see what he looks like. I saw something that broke my heart, a video tittled 'BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!' i clicked on it "Hey guys i'm here with my girlfriend Rebecca" "Hey guys!" she said "We have a really big announcement for you guys..." there was a big pause "WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!" they screamed together, i paused the video, what... what happened to the phil that said he would save his heart for me one day? Me and phil promised each other we would get back together once we thought we were ready.

But... i guess, maybe he forgot ma- ring ring ring huh? I picked up my phone, OH MY! I answered "Why isn't mister Dan Howell!" I laughed into my phone "ah yes yes it's, but i have an important question for you..." he said "yes, Dan?" i asked worried "It's about Phil and Rebecca, i need you to stop their marriage, Y/N, this is important. I told them we would be meeting someone in important at The Calico Cafe, please be there at 1" he said as if he was begging, i thought for a moment "i'll be there." i said in a montone voice and hung up. I changed into a lace croptop, jeans, and a black sweater/blazer. I put my H/L H/C hair in a fishtail braid and put on the necklace that phil got me, it was a paperplane(pic above).

I grabbed my vans, phil got me and my purse and went out my door. I hailed a taxi and told him to go to the calico cafe.

I saw Dan and Phil, and another girl, i walked up to them "hey guys!" a smiled and waved "Y/N is that you!" Phil got up from his chair and hugged me, same with Dan. we all laughed and sat down, the woman looked at me and smiled, she held out the hand that had a shining ring on it "I'm Rebecca!" she bubbled, "Y/N Y/L/N!" i faked smiled back at her and shook her hand, we all sat down under the umbrella that was keeping us safe from the light sprinkle, but i didn't really care, as i loved the rain. "So you're the important person Dan was telling me about." Phil said"yeah, I was free and even though i love shakespeare i needed something to do." i said sipping my hot chocolate with both hands, "How do you know these boys?" Rebecca asked and giggled I swear if she giggles one more time i'm going to rip my ears off "I knew them in Uni..." I had looked to the side not wanting to talk about me and phil's break up.

"Speaking of which, what did you graduate with?" Dan asked "you moved away" Phil continued, i looked down "Medical, i went to america and worked as a veterinarian at SouthWest Vet for a while, but i moved back a year ago, to come work for Baila Vet." i put my hair behind my ears "oooo, so yer a doctor for animals?" rebecca asked and giggled "that's very interesting Y/-" ring ring ring "Excuse me" i got up from my chair and walked to the other end of the patio "Hello?" i asked "Dr.Y/L/N, our last vet left for home, i know it's your week off, but please we need your help, a cat has gotten ran over and needs immediate medical attention!" my assistant Layla said "I'm on my way Layla, tell sue to start preparing the cat for surgery!" i ended the call and walked back over to Dan, Phil, and Rebecca "who has a car?" i asked frantically "i do!" rebecca smiled "give me the keys!" i screamed "what, is this your way of esteemed robbery!" she yelled standing up "IT'S A EMERGENCY REBECCA HAND ME THE KEYS NOW OR YOU ALL COME WITH ME!" i yelled, Rebecca stared and handed the keys and pointed to a baby blue convertible, Phil and Dan had never seen me so urgent and angry before it startled them, i ran and they ran along with me, I hoped in the front seat and headed for the vet

When we arrived at the vet and we raced for the door "Laya take these people to the observing room!" i told Layla as i signed in "yes Dr.Y/L/N" Layla said before guiding everyone to the room. I put my coat on "Layla prisa no tenemos tiempo para esto!(Layla hurry up we have no time for this!)" i yelled for layla in spanish "¡viniendo!(coming!)" she replied, now it's time to save a cat...
