The reaping was about to start and I'm little scared but I know that if I was reaped to go in the games I would win because I have been training my whole life for this. As the video stops playing the women starts to draw names.
"Emma Conner" She said and this little girl maybe 13 years old walked out and her parent are now crying knowing that their little girl will die in the games so I did what I thought was best for our district so I walked out of my line and say.
"I volunteer as tribute" with my head hold high, the little girl turned around and looked at me with tears in her eyes. I walked to her
and said "Go back to your parents little one"
She said "Thank you so much" and hugged me. "
Well looks like we have a volunteer here what is your name dear" She asked with no emotion
"My name is Kadence" I said looking at her
"Kadence what" She asked
"Just Kadence" I said now looking at the little girl
"Ok now for the boys" She said as she pulled a name for the jar.
"Kin Jay" She said and this tall, skinny guy walked out of the line and onto the stage with confidence.
"Our tributes for the games shake hands tributes" She said I stuck my hand out and shaked his hand.
The peacekeepers pulled Kin and I to different rooms so that we can say goodbye to our families. My dad and mom walked in with smiles on their faces because they know that I can win this game I have the intelligence, strength, and the skills to. Back at district 2 I trained with many people but I learned everything that I know from Clove, Cato and my parents even though they never went to the games.
"Honey we know that you can win this, this is not goodbye its see you soon." My father said hugging me I looked at my mother and she is still smiling.
"Love you don't need good luck you got this just know that we love you the same no matter what happened in that games." She said hugging as well before the peacekeepers came in and told them that time was up and we need to get on the train to the capital. As we got on the train I looked out the window and whispered see you soon District 7.
