"Randhir I've been telling this to you for the past 2 years now! Ever since you turned 25... I wanted you to meet her. To try...but dekh tune kya kiya!Ab toh tere bachhe dekhne se pehle hi jaana padega" Renuka said.
"Nothing will happen to you Mom!" Randhir comforted her, his voice not holding an ounce of confidence, rather a lot of pain.

A tear rolled down his cheek as he reminisced the last days of his mother, who just wanted him to get married before leaving for the heavenly abode. That wasn't a feasible option, at that point of time! He had concentrated all his energy in saving her from cancer and she'd put up a brave fight for a year but eventually...who can win against destiny, after all?
Today when he would look at the stars, he would find his mother there, smiling brightly at him. His mother had this habit of gazing at the stars and telling him which star reminded her of which person.
Growing up, he had never imagined, one day he'll watch his own mother through the stars too! That void of losing a parent hadn't healed yet, perhaps it would never heal...but with time he was getting used to it. In fact Parth had helped him a lot during this tough time.
Randhir's father Harsh Shekhawat had moved to the States after marrying Renuka. He ran a successful business, was a loving husband and a caring father. It was just that his wife had never wanted to move abroad. She didn't want to leave her maternal family and best friend but alas...
Her last wish was to get Randhir married. And not just marry, but marry the girl of her choice, Sanyukta Aggarwal. She hadn't even seen her photograph but she adored the girl for the sheer fact that she was her best friend's daughter. Her wish remained unfulfilled in her lifetime because neither her husband nor her son was keen on fulfilling it. But her soul still yearned to witness the wedding.

"Enough with you melodrama, okay?" Parth yelled at Randhir for the umpteenth time.
" I'll go there, meet Anju Auntie and her daughter, complete my work and return. Get it?" Randhir stated in a no-non sense tone.
" Achha we'll go to your old place too! Happy now?" Randhir cheered him up, looking at Parth's sullen face
Parth simply grinned at his best friend
"As you wish, bro!" Parth replied. If only, this world worked on Randhir's whims and fancies...
