Chapter 1

The next day I was in Spanish class, Samy and Philip are in this class too. Samy is a very good friend and I have her in several classes this semester and I met Philip last year, he was in my homeroom. A little secret, I have a small crush on him, he is a little nerdy but cute, with this amazing blue eyes.

"How was prom committee?" Samy asked me.

"Ugh it was boring, we just saw stuff to promote and get people to go, and guess who is in it too...Blake and Brooke, I don't know how I will be able to see their faces every Monday for the rest of the year." I really didn't know what I was going to do, I guess I need to find someone else to get along of the other people there.

"Really? Wow! You have such bad luck, but don't worry, just don't mind them and you won't have any problems, besides see the good side, you can boss them around since you get along pretty well with the teachers."

Samy knows how to cheer me up; I am going to see the good side of this after all.

"Well people we will begin with class introducing ourselves...", typical stuff from the first week of classes, the usual tell your name, how you like to be called and what do you like to do in your free time, the good thing is we lose time of class.

It was my turn so I stood up and faced the teacher, "My name is Annabelle Jones, I like to be called Anna, and I like to read in my free time."

"Thank you Anna"

And so on everyone introduced themselves, by the time everyone finished we only had time to see the course syllabus and then we were allowed to leave for break. So I said goodbye to Sam and told her I will see her on Math class at the end of the day.

I had told my friends to meet in the second floor as always, when I arrived to our usual table they were already there.

We are a small group of 4 girls, including me, there was Alison, Connie and Penny, at the beginning they were all very shy and quiet but as I got to know they opened up and we have become great friends. I have missed them all summer because of my vacations with my family I haven't seen them much.

"Hey girls", I greeted as I got close to the table, they all responded with a 'hey' as well.

As we were talking about the things we have done during the summer and how the first two days of school have been going, Connie brought up my birthday.

"So Anna what do you plan to do this year?"

"Well I think the usual, a party at my house and this time I will have alcohol of course." It was mas 18th birthday and I was very excited about it, I love my birthday so much and every year I do a big party to celebrate.

"But isn't that day the school's fair where 'Blue Moon' is playing?" Alison suddenly said.

"OMG, that's right, well I guess I can move the party to the next week because I definitely want to come and see them."

"Yeah! That will be better, and in that case we can all come together and spend your birthday in the fair." Connie exclaimed as she began to think about the plans for that day.

I definitely missed my best friends; this is going to be a good semester.

Second week of the semester and I have forgotten how awful Monday mornings were, as well as feeling as if I haven't sleep at all the whole weekend when in reality I woke up way past noon both days.

Apart from feeling tired I feel as if the universe loves to laugh at my face because not only was it the first day of the week but I have to go to prom committee in the afternoon which meant that I have to see Blake's and Brooke's faces. I just hope that they stay out of my way because I'm not in the mood and I might just slap them across the face if they even think about making my afternoon unpleasant.
