Chapter 14

Tia's POV

He seemed so familiar.. but how? We danced under the pavilion for what seemed like forever. I raised my head looking up at the stars..

Am I having some kind of deja vu?!

Flashback

“You see that group over there?"

“Yeah?"

“That's called the big dipper and can you see that bright one over there, that's a planet!"

“Its so beautiful out here Jai.. look how many stars there are!"

“You're a star Tee!" I could feel my cheeks heating up!

“Shush you!" I giggled. Jai pulled me closer to him and I lay my head on his chest feeling it go up and down..

“Tee! Look a shooting star! Make a wish!" I saw the star zoom across the sky, I closed my eyes tightly.

I wish that you stay in my life forever Jai.

“Awh Tia!" Shit did I say it out loud?! I dug my head into the crook of Jai's neck.

“I wish that you'll be in my life forever Tee, bestfriends?"

I looked up at him and smiled "Bestfriends!"

End of flashback

Why was I thinking of Jai?! I'm here with the guy who's perfect for me, we have so much in common he listens and understands me.

But do I seriously like Jai?

We stop dancing and he leads me over to sit down on the wall bordering the pavilion.

“I have a gift for you!" We both say at the same time.. we laugh awkwardly and blush.

“Great minds think alike!" he said! He pulled out this little box and I pulled out the memory stick and held it in my hands.

He handed the box over to me, and I opened it to find.. a memory stick?

“Funny, I got you a memory stick too!" I giggled and handed him the gift. “Sorry I didn't wrap it though!" He chuckled and slipped it into his pocket.

He stood up and helped me up so we were both standing.

“I hope you don't do a Cinderella on me!" He said.

“I'd stay all night if I could!" I looked down, feeling embarrassed.

“Hey!" he lifted my chin up to his eye level.

“You're perfect!" he tilted his head and started leaning in.. no one was interrupting us, it was just me and him. I started leaning in too my eyes fluttering shut.

I felt his soft lips touch mine and a spark shot through my body, I was feeling fireworks. It was perfect. I opened my eyes briefly and all I saw was Jai. Jai's face instead of the handsome stanger I'd been talking to..

I pulled away. “I'm sorry! I guess I have to have a Cinderella moment! I've really got to go!" I headed for the doors.

“Wait.. atleast show me your face?" he looked at me.. but all I could see was Jai. What was wrong with me?!

“The point of a masquerade ball is to never reveal yourself! Thankyou for the gift! I'll talk to you soon!"

Jai's POV

I kissed her.. I felt these sparks fly through my body. But whenever I opened my eyes all I saw was Tia.. why?!

The girl pulled away and looked at me. “I'm sorry!" she said "I guess I have to have a Cinderella moment! I've really got to go!"

“Wait.. atleast show me your face?" I had to know, to get the image of Tia out of my head!

“The point of a masquerade ball is to never reveal yourself! Thankyou for the gift! I'll talk to you soon!"

And then she was gone. I slumped down on the wall and pulled out my phone ready to text Luke that we were going but stopped. I looked at my background seeing me and Tia larking about whilst we made cakes. She looked so perfect.

Do I love Tia?

I shook it out my head and text Luke. He came out minutes later saying we could leave. Dani and Tia weren't in the car..

“Dani took Tia back to Nonnas. She had a bit of a bad meeting I guess!" Shit she was meeting her dream guy tonight? “Is she okay?" I asked, worried.

“Yeah, she'll get over it. How'd yours go?"

“Guys.."

“Yeah?" Beau and Luke said in unison.

“I couldn't get Tia out of my head.. the girl reminded me of someone but I don't know who but I kept thinking of what me and Tia did this week.. and I kissed her and all I could see was Tia!"

“Are you saying, you like Tia?"

“No I'm not saying I like Tia. I'm saying I think I'm in love with Tia!" I put my head in my hands, how was I going to deal with AverageGirl now?

“Get in there bro!" Beau chuckled.

“Do you not understand!? She has some guy and I have AverageGirl! She's probably head over heels for him!"

I slammed the car door and walked into the house. Running up to my room and loosening my tie and collapsing on my bed.

“What is wrong with you Jai!?" I said to myself. I turned over a lay on my side feeling something jab into my chest.

I tried to feel what it was and pulled out the memory stick. Maybe this will make me fall in love with AverageGirl rather than Tia.

I reached for my laptop and plugged it in clicking for whatever she put on there to play.

“Jai.." I could hear Luke by the door but I ignored him, intent on watching this video..

Tia's POV

I collapsed on the sofa whilst Dani made us a hot drink. All I could think about was Jai.. I really liked him.. wait Tia.. you're in love with him!

But how?! Argh stupid boys!

I got my phone out my bag and found the box with the memory stick in. I grabbed my laptop and plugged it in waiting for whatever it was to load.

A/N they met! they kissed! but Jai likes Tia and Tia likes Jai.. dun dun dunnn!

And they're both about to watch their surprises!
