Jack Gilinsky
5 minutes in a haunted house & I could already tell that this definitely wasn't my thing. What a surprise. Sofie & I can barely watch a horror movie without having a pillow each in front of us the whole time. Both of our boyfriends thought it would be an amazing idea to take us to our first real tour in a haunted house. After lots of persuasion we decided to go, for them. Because we're the best girlfriends & at the end of the day, how bad could it really be?
The answer is bad. Really, fucking bad. They couldn't stop scaring us either, making the situation even worse. Together they could be the most annoying people on earth.
Sofie screamed yet another time & almost jumped on me after Johnson yet another time tried to scare her.
"Oh fuck off" she said & lightly hit him on his chest before walking up to me again. I took my arm around her & she did the same for me. Johnson pouted his bottom lip before just laughing at her. I couldn't help but to laugh a little bit either.
"Young Soph" I said caressing her back. She took my hand as we kept on walking. We immediately screamed because of the masks that kept popping up. The worst ones we saw were definitely the clowns, as both Sofie & I were terrified of them.
Then Johnson came up from behind taking his arms around her, stealing her from me. He kept kissing her cheek, first she just got annoyed after the fact that he scared her, but then she giggled. She kissed him back before taking his hand.
I walked up to Gilinsky. He walked in front, like always. He was always the pack leader in haunted houses, simply because he's the bravest one out of all of us. He didn't try to scare me as much as Johnson scared Sofie. I really thought one reason he scared her was because he didn't want to confess that he was scared himself.
"Why do you have to go in front?" I asked anxious after walking beside him for a few seconds.
"Are you scared baby?" he said laughing a bit while pulling me closer to him, immediately making me feel safer. He was always so warm. His cologne made my heart melt.
"The real question is how are you not" I whined looking up at him. He just giggled. "I can't believe Sofie & I actually agreed to this"
"You love us, that's why" he said & pointed my chin against me to kiss me.
"Well, this place is making me doubt" I said & kissed him again. I felt him smiling.
Gilinsky kept his arm around my shoulders, while we walked through the hall. I was still terrified, but to be in the safety of Gilinsky's arms made me as calm as I could be in this situation.
Zombies that wandered around, walls that got broken & people jumping out. Horrible sound effects, flickering lights. This place was a masterpiece. I wish I loved it as much as I wanted to, but I was too scared.
I turned around to see where Sofie & Johnson were & they were right behind us, holding hands. Knowing Sofie she had a steady grip around his hand, she was at least as scared as I was. We looked at each other & giggled. A screaming noise appeared, making Johnson jump.
"Oh really, are you scared J?" I winked at him, feeling proud over the fact that he couldn't say something back at me.
"Shut up Josie" he said rolling his eyes. I just giggled, as did the rest.
"It's okay to be scared" Sofie said kissing his cheek.
"I'm not"
"Didn't say you were" Sofie giggled & gave me a meaning look. We both knew he was.
"Johnson please, it's obvious" Gilinsky giggled. Change that into we all knew he was. "Do you want me to hold your hand?" he added, reaching out his free hand to Johnson.
"My Jolinsky feels are so real" I said dreamy, while Sofie burst into laughter. We always fucked around with them about Jolinsky, knowing some people in their fandom for real shipped them.
"OTP OTP OTP" Sofie screamed when Johnson walked towards Gilinsky. They didn't hold hands though, Johnson just quickly hugged him.
"Duh" Gilinsky said, waving his hand in a diva motion. Johnson laughed. Sofie walked up beside me & we kept walking.
"Now the rooms inspired by horror movies will start, you'll love it" Gilinsky said & opened the next door, the door making horrible noises as a clock started ticking.
It was a living room, where everything seemed calm for a while. It was the darkest room so far, it was completely without any kind of lamps. To be honest I preferred that in front of the flickering lights though, you never knew when they would give up & leave the room in complete darkness. In here it was just a bunch of candles on the coffee table lighting up the room, in front of the most dusty couch I've ever seen in my entire life.
"Oh my god it's Billy the fucking puppet!" Sofie suddenly screamed, taking her hands in her face. She looked back at the door in the left corner of the room, leading in to the hall.
Billy the puppet was just like she said, riding his way into the room. A cute tiny red bicycle, just like the movies. Horrible. Sofie was overjoyed though so it still made me kind of happy to see, the Saw franchise were her favourites. Even though I quite didn't understand it. Literally disgusting.
"Isn't he the fucking cutest?"
"Soph, chill. You shouldn't be saying this about something from horror movies" I said hugging her from behind. She turned around.
"Fuck you then"
I laughed at her & kissed her cheek.
"I hate the fact that all of you are judging me for actually liking these"
"Do you blame us Soph, really? Try to tell someone about the story sometime & see how much you like them after that" Gilinsky said winking at her before taking his arm around my waist.
Sofie didn't even say something, she just walked passed Billy out to the hall.
"Soph!" Johnson shouted after her but she kept walking.
"Should we walk after her?" Gilinsky asked. His expression changed, he felt bad.
"No" Johnson & I said at the same time, both of us knowing she was way too scared to walk the rest of this place alone. We giggled.
Sofie slowly came back to us, looking down at her feet.
"I'm sorry baby" I said taking her in for a hug.
"Sch, it's okay" she said hugging me back before getting all excited again. She sat down next to Billy, looking at his features. "Okay now I'm done, I want to keep walking" she said taking my hand, walking out of the room.
We kept seeing iconic figures from horror movies. Anna Belle, The Ring, The Grudge. Probably in the rooms were we were supposed to get the most scared we didn't get scared at all, just because we got like kids in candy stores seeing figures from movies we've seen together. We definitely were some weird ass people. I loved it though. Walking hand in hand with Sofie & screaming out of excitement when we yet again recognise an iconic figure.
Never thought I'd say this but this place was definitely worth a second thought, I turned out to have a great time.
