Write, write write. My pencil meets the paper and the lead designs letters on the white spaces. Write, write, write.
Only thirty more minutes of my essay... I think to myself. I have already done more than anyone else in this class. Everyone else hasn't even gotten one paper. The essay is about how Light Yagami almost "Doomed us all". I think its only a myth that he got a deadly tool called the "Death Note" that someone could use that can kill someone by looking at their face, and knowing their name. Its not real. Its so fake. It is fake!
The bell rings, its time to go home. I can't wait to sleep under my warm blankets, and lay my head on my comfortable pillow. If only I didn't have so much homework... I leave the classroom, but was asked to stay for a bit. Oh no. What this time?
"Koa. Come here please." Says Ms. Amane, beckoning for me to walk over there.
"Yes, Ms. Amane?" I respond.
"Please hand in your paper, Mr. Ayala."
"Oh, yes! I almost forgot..." I tell her, then give her my essay.
"Wow. Four papers? You remind me of someone I used to know..." She replies, but her eyes go dark. "Please don't ever remind me of him again."
"Yes, ma'am. Sorry, ma'am. I apologize for asking, but are you so sure that the whole "Light Yagami is Kira" thing exists? Maybe they are just lying. I mean, you were here when it happened. Is it real?"
"Are you having doubts? Because I can assure you it is real." Her face is gloomy, not like usual when she's all happy and cheerful.
"What happened?" I ask.
She frowns, "Only stuff I don't want to remember. Don't ask, just hand me your paper and leave. Im due your parents will be worried if you are late coming home."
"Yes, Ms. Amane..." I say, as I reach for my backpack, I spot something outside. Something in the grass. Something black among all of the green. I hurriedly run downstairs, with my backpack strapped on my shoulders, to inspect it. As it comes into view, I see no one has touched nor seen it, until I ran over there. Now all eyes were on me...
