I push Freddy away from me, what did I just do, "Oh my, look Freddy, I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me, I just, oh my," I stutter out, backing away before stumbling over my karaoke machine. I'm sure my eyes were huge, I needed to get myself together, I don't get tripped up like this.
Instead of Freddy helping me, he just laughed, laughed. This dude LAUGHED. I scrunched my nose up, "Fredrick whatever-your-middle-name-is Jones!" I shout at the boy who's cheeks were turning bright red from his doubling over in laughter.
As I continued to look at him, I couldn't help but crack a smile. Darn you Freddy Jones for being irresistible. I stop myself at the thought, did I just sound like a cheesy emo teenager from Mean Girls. What is happening to me?
I shake myself out of the thought, surely it was just a spur of the moment thing, it meant absolutely nothing, right Tomika? I hit my head a couple times, I hate this stupid voice in my head, what is it called, a soul?
I look at Freddy, who has since stopped his parade of chuckles, how long have I been arguing with myself? "Did I entertain you enough?" I ask helping myself up, dusting off my jeans. "Actually no, maybe you could fall again," he responded, a gleam in his eyes and a smirk gracing his features. I cock my head to the side, "Har har, now get up, you're attracting termites," I answer with a swing of my hair, stepping over him. "Wow, so mature."
We get downstairs, and Freddy plops down on the couch, "Since you think I'm a pest attractor-" I cut him off, "termites," he waved me off, "I'm picking the movie and it's a scary movie," he said, with the fakest of fake smiles.
"You wouldn't!" I yelled as I run to jump on the couch before he picks the movie, but I was too late, he had chosen. "Freddy!" I repeatedly hit his shoulder, "Umm, I think you mean termite attractor," he smiled a cocky smile before continuing to watch the movie.
"I hate you Fredrick Jones."
"I love you too Tomika Yde."
