You know, chasing a time traveler isn't easy, even when you have your own time machine. Even when you build and design time machines. Even when this particular time traveler makes the most noise in the universe. I wish that I could've changed what had happened, but that was how the story ended. I don't like the ending, but I liked the story.
But now, both our time traveling days are over. With him and his time machine dead, and buried together, and mine, left without a soul. Lost in time, with no way back. No way back to my home, and no way to contact them. Stuck in one place, forever.
She may not travel any more, but she still makes a good home, with a great lab, and a colossal library, and a very comfortable bed. This time machine that I invented, not the only one of its kind, but rather advanced if I do say so myself. She has power, but no soul to live and fly. The only thing I managed to get, in the last moments of the other time traveler, was a book that he gave to me, he then told me to run, and I ran. I ended up here, in this place, now, with my time machine left without a soul.
I looked in the book. The book looked ancient, it was about three inches thick, I looked at the last page, it spoke of the final days of the time traveler. It was then that I realized, this was his journal, a journal of all his days. I looked toward the bottom of the page, it mentioned me, and told me which page to go to. I flipped trough the book. I found the page that it told me to go to, and there it was. In a tiny pocket dimension in that wonderful book was a small power cell, one tiny, insignificant power cell. But this power cell was special, it contained the soul of the other time travelers time machine, but it was fading. I realized what I must do, I ran and ran, ran through my time machine home. I made it to the controls, and plugged that power cell in. Everything went dark, all was quiet. But just then, I heard the power coming back on. The controls lit up once more, and everything was functional. My wonderful time machine, once again, had a soul. The soul of the other wonderful travelers time machine. She was alive, and with that, I knew I could go anywhere in time and space. I started up my wonderful time machine and flew away, back home.
