Carina's in the hospital with a concussion, 3 broken ribs and a sprained wrist. She also has a lovely black eye that no concealer can fix. I'm supposed to get 3 months of detention but my school has so many people in that stupid room that they won't know if I even showed up or not. I look at Mitch's face. She's pale and has hazel nut brown eyes that aren't happy looking. She's not wearing any makeup that I can see so she has big purple bags under her eyes. Then the bell rings and floods of kids come rushing out of the classes so I turn and run out of the way and out the doors of the school. Once I was in the yard and safely away from the exit I turned back to see that Mitch wasn't there.
