The lighthouse glows and my sea boat totters

I stare at the light as it circles and loiters

My sea boat floats along the shore, to meet your lighthouse that brought me wanting more.

I climb your steps and hold the handles

But all I find is your old broken mantle

It held your heart that you gave away, it floats among the sea with the fishermen at bay

I came to find you, but you just couldn't wait.

The prize you once held has now gone to waste.
