Luke wakes up slowly and yawns rubbing his eyes groggingly and stood up and shuffled across the shag carpet to his dresser and open it with a slightly creak and looked down seeing his uniform and casual cloths. He put on his uniform pants and the fabric shifted as his legs entered the hole and he did it slowly has he yearned to stay in bed but knew sleeping wasn't going to pay the bills. He calls his working letting them know he will be a bit late to watch the news about the Cold War, he sat on his couch and the leather creaked and squeaked has he sat down and he turned on the television and he saw the news the USA democratic government has dissolved into a communist state allied with the USSR Luke looked in awe as they lifted the new flag.

Luke was confused "we sent sputnik into orbit, sent a man into orbit, then again the USSR did send a man to the moon. Guess that was the nail in the coffin for the US democratic system" he frowned a bit a the thought of living in a communist country, would this country be as brutally as Stalin and his the other Soviet leaders were and would we keep the voting a leader in or not.
