Ear buds. Check. Phone. Check. I headed out the door not saying bye to anyone, (like anyone would care). As I hopped onto the bus I noticed on the other side of the street, a book bag, just sitting there. Weird. Whatever I'll check it out later when I'm walking home.
"Leah,hey!" I heard Chloe shout. "Hey Chloe!" I said as I sat with her. "So how was your morning?" She asked. "Blah, at I didn't miss the bus, at least . How was your morning?" "Good." She said. "So.... Do you still like that guy Luke?" She asked. "Umm..a little bit." I responded. "Why don't you ask him!?" She asked getting up out of the seat. Oh the bus is at school now. "Idk. I guess I'm nervous." I said.
"Oh look there he is now!" Chloe said practically screaming across the café. "No Chloe don't!" Too late, she was already talking to Luke. I sat down in one of the chairs and pulled out my phone. A few minutes later Chloe came over and told me how the conversation went. "Hey Luke." "Hey Chloe, what's up." "Oh nothing, I just wanted to say my friend, Leah, likes you." "Oh really, I think she's cute too. She sits in front of me in science." "Ok I'll tell her." She ended. "And that's when I came over to you." She said. "Wow. He really likes me." I said amazed. "Go talk to him!" She shouted.
"Ok. Whatever." I said getting up. I made my way over to the table he was sitting at. "Hey Leah!" Luke said to me as I sat down. "Hey Luke." I said nervously. "Leah, do wanna go out on Saturday maybe?" He asked. "Sure, I don't have anything to do." He smiled. "Put my number in your phone." "Ok."
Later (on her way home).
Well...that was a good day. I thought as I kicked some rocks on the path. Suddenly I remembered the book bag I saw this morning. I cut though the bushes, looked around and saw the book bag laying in the dirt. I picked it up. Empty. It was a vintage book bag and I thought it looked cool so I shook it to get the dirt out. I carried it and gave it a wash when I got inside.
