Pulling into the pack house i was already greeted with the beta and the third in command Mark and roger ."Alina Snow, is that really you?" mark asked in surprise. "you've grown so much!" roger said staring in shock. i chuckled at both their surprised reactions and stepped out of my truck. "its good to see you guys too." i laughed out. "something is off.." I heard amber my wolf speak to me. "what are you talking about amber?" she didn't reply.

"the alpha is busy at the moment but we have your room ready in the pack house and if you need help with your things do not hesitate to ask." mark said smiling. " i didn't bring much with me, so it shouldn't be any trouble unpacking." roger glanced at my neck where a mark should be. I could feel amber roll her eyes.

"have you not found your mate...." he said in shock, Mark elbowed Roger in the ribs. "what a jerk" "unfortunately fate hasn't been kind to bless me with finding mine yet, I see you're still blunt as usual roger." i said somewhat shortly, i looked at both of them and their marks slightly jealous. I could see mark give a slight glare towards roger before he spoke up, "lets get you to your room."

I walked into the large bedroom, seeing a queen size bed, a fire place with a flat screen tv above it, a piano, a walk in closet and a bathroom, it was perfect. The guys didn't come in because this would be my den, no one enters a female wolfs den without permission.

"You are the head of command here, your co commander is Alex Knight alpha Damons younger brother. It's your class, you and him will make the schedule, pick out each of your students and put them in certain ranks after training. You know how this all works, we will see you at dinner, the alpha should be scheduling a meeting with you soon,after he's less preoccupied." " I see Damon is still irresponsible on not doing his duties."  amber sighs. "amber he is your alpha respect that." she went silent as per usual.

The last of marks words confused me though, the alpha shouldn't be preoccupied if he's on duty.... him and roger shared a look then left. I decided to unpack and get settled in, this room doesn't smell of any other wolf, as If it's been empty waiting for me the whole time that's nice.

I decided to go for a run before dinner since it was only 3:30pm, dinner here is at 7:30pm, I walked outside and my eyes met others around me, male wolfs sniffed in my direction as did the females, I saw some shocked faces when they realized who I was.

I shook it off walking out of their sight and shifted gracefully into my midnight wolf and sprinted into the woods, trees flung by like cars would on the highway, I kept running until my paws were sore, I stopped at a watering hole that was surrounded by trees, this place was familiar to me.... after i took a few gulps of water my wolf peered past the trees and whimpered.

an old house broken down and covered with ash was there.

Memories flashed before me, heat, flames, screams, a pain shot into my head and I shifted into human form falling on my knees.

"Alina?!" I heard a female voice it was my mothers "Alina r-run, hurry before it's too late!" I rocked back and forth until my wolf amber took control, "calm down Alina, you're going to hyperventilate, breathe, focus." She said to me.

After I calmed down i shifted back into my wolf and I ran away from the ash covered house back towards the pack house, until I was knocked in the ribs by a male wolf. "what the hell!"

I looked up seeing the dark brown wolf begin to circle me. I barred my teeth and snapped at him like a feral dog, he returned the favor.
I kept my back away from him never letting him get behind me.

I saw him slightly always shift to the right indicating that's the paw he will use to sprint at me with, he stopped circling me and pounced, knowing which way he would lead I shifted to the left making me dodge him, I realized he was irritated that I knew what he was going to do, he turned around quick going toward the left, I shifted to the right making him miss again, before he had a chance to turn around I pounced on his back flipping him around.

Pinned was what he was, I growled a deep growl showing I meant business, he snapped at me so I took my chance I caught him by the throat and closed my jaws slightly enough to hurt but not to kill, he relaxed and stilled beneath me, submission.

I got off the male wolf and backed away from him, he was wagging his tail, Amber growled at his taunt, he shifted into human form. "I wasn't taunting you, I was congratulating you Alina." My eyes looked into his and nowhere els, my wolf was confused as was I,"I'm your co commander, Damons younger brother...come on we used to have sword fights as kids." I let out a breath, but growled he was testing my ability to defend myself?!

He grabbed a bag from behind a tree putting on shorts, he tossed the bag at my feet." There are clothes in there for you, I noticed you left the pack house without one. I face palmed mentally completely forgetting about it.

My wolf growled at him as if to tell him to turn around, he chuckled and turned his back to me.

after I shifted I put on the sports bra, t-shirt, and shorts quickly. "It's not polite to attack your head commander of the pack." I said irritated.

"Call it a tradition." He said shrugging. "Damon wants to meet you....well greet you anyway." I nodded and followed him to the pack house. I wondered if Damon remembered me........

when I was younger he was always around my house with the alpha talking to my father, I always ignored him until he started trying to mess with me during my runs he would nip at my wolfs feet and bite her ears. amber thought it was fun but I didn't. Alex was also right we used to stick sword fight as kids as well. when i was 14 and damon was 16 he started being weird his wolf got protective over me while he himself would ignore me at every turn, though as soon as i shifted and went for runs his wolf would always be there. personally i thought it was annoying and chose to ignore him in human form like he did to me.Of course now i cant do that as he is my alpha and im his head commander. i wonder how this is going to turn out.
