Adding a gif in Photoshop

Step seven; After you have gotten the timeline window to show up click on "create frame animation"

Step eight; Now we need to make the frames. On the right upper right hand side of the timeline window, just under the x, is a little down arrow with four lines next to it. Click on that and then select "make frames from layers"

Step nine; You have to now delete all frames that are not part of your gif. To select multiple frames, hold down control and click each frame.

Step ten; So currently all we have is our gif. Click on the first frame of your gif, scroll to the end of the timeline window, hold down shift, and then click on the last frame of your gif to highlight all your frames. Now here comes the tedious part. You have to go over to your layers window and click the little layer visibility eye for each and every layer so it'll show in your gif.

Note: if you have a folder you have to make the folder visible and then go into the folder and make each layer visible as shown below

Step eleven; We're almost done! Last thing you need to do before saving is go back over to the timeline window. Across the bottom of the timeline window there's all these settings. Click on the second one from the left, the one in the red circle below, it says "once", and change it to "forever". This setting controls how many times you gif loops. Considering it's a gif we want it to keep looping, you can leave it at once or change it to 3 times if you wish.

Step twelve; Now it's time to save it! Go up to file, click on it, go down to "save for web", and click on that

Step thirteen; This window should pop up. Make sure that the box in the red circle says gif. If it doesn't, click on it and change it to gif.

Step fourteen; Click "save", which is across the bottom, and then name and save you gif wherever you wish :D


Ta-da! You've added a gif to your graphic!
