Heather's POV
Depression sucks. Everyday is a struggle, and every task is a strenuous activity. There are more important things I should be worrying about, like how rhinos could go extinct at any moment or saving the Earth. Yet I choose to focus on myself. I'm pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
"Welcome to Publixs! Do you need help finding anything in particular?" A lady in black slacks, a short sleeved white button up, and a green vest greeted me with a cheery smile.
I think I'm going to be sick. Her attitude is so perky, it makes me want to puke. Instead, I politely decline.
After grabbing all the necessities, I quickly grabbed a spot in line and looked at the tabloids.
The colorful printed articles displayed headlines that screamed "Betty White marries a 27 year-old!?"
and "Phan Is Real!?" The same lies they always tell, but we wish they were true.
Lies. Lies, that's all that I ever hear. When will they end?
