Running. I've been doing it for days on end. Nobody by my side. Alone. Completely alone. Not a single house in sight. The only life is the occasional rabbit or deer. It's only been five days since I ran away from home.It was the only thing I could think of. My father wanted me to have a normal life but I had wanted otherwise, so I ran at nightfall. I'm beginning to regret doing it now. No food, no water and very little rest. It is too dangerous to sleep at night. If I don't find civilization soon I think I might die. As I jog up the hill I am telling myself not to be too hopeful. But somehow I just can't seem to help myself. I can just imagine the village. It is a beautiful one. Like the one I grew up in. Children playing in the streets. Horse and carts trying to weave them selves through the playing children and adults selling their goods. That was until the soldiers had come. They had been looking for new wolf-rider recruits. They were the ones that got me into this mess. Before then I had never heard of Wolf-riders. When I first heard their stories of exciting adventures and how they protected the kingdoms by working aside wolf kind I knew that was to be my future. Previously, I had been fine with my average life. I would have grown up, gotten married and started a family. But thanks to them the past is behind me. I'm no longer okay with an average life. I want more I want freedom and I ran to do just that. But what I didn't know is what I had signed up to. I didn't know that freedom would come with a price. A splash of water woke me up from my memories. It was starting to rain and I was almost at the top of the hill. I pulled together all my energy and just made it to the top to find a village a the bottom of that hill. I sighed in relief. But little did I know what lay ahead of me...

The moment I arrived at the village, people seemed to be scared of me. I looked down at myself. I had forgotten what I looked like. My leather boots were coated in mud and my breeches and my blouse and blue jacket were drenched in a mixture of sweat and mud. Even my shoulder plates where muddy and my hair had twigs and leaves and grass in. As I walked down the streets people ran into the nearest shops and houses. I guess they don't get a lot of tourists in these parts. I reached the empty town square to come face to face with a group of heavily armed guards. They told me to freeze and put my hands up, I was too tired to argue, so I obeyed them. Two came behind me and tied my hands together with a piece of shredded rope. When I am ready I'll easily get out of these. I guess they don't expect much of me. You should never underestimate me. They shoved me into a wagon and locked the door. As they startef with a jolt I fell into a deep sleep.

I was woken up hours later by one of the guards roughly shaking me. I stepped out the wagon with all of my energy back but I didn't show that. I looked up at the sky - the sun hadn't yet risen. It must have been a long time because when I got arrested the sun was still high in the sky. But now it was the next day. I heard trumpets sound and as the prison wagon drove off I could just about make out the silhouette of the castle. If I wasn't about to be killed I might have enjoyed that sight more. I stared in silence for a bit then on of the guards came up behind me and grunted,"Come on, move along. The king doesn't like waiting." he grinned evilly and whispered to one of his fellow guards and both of them started laughing. I had the feeling that they were making bets about my sentencing. Well, I bet that I'm gonna escape.
