Jane Rizzoli spat out the sunflower seeds in her mouth as her assistant coach, Barry Frost, yelled out the play.

Ever since taking over the program almost a decade ago, the team had gone 84-12, had six state appearances, winning four, and out of the nine years coaching, had almost thirty players get college scholarships and fifteen drafted into the NFL (which twelve are starters for their respective teams).

Jane Rizzoli played herself in high school. She was the quarterback. She was drafted out of high school by the Bengals and played a year before seriously injuring her throwing arm in the Super Bowl.

She didn't go back that next season based on recovery time. She went to college got her teaching degree and took a head coaching job at her alta mater, East Boston High School.

Sure she missed the glory days, that was almost fifteen years ago, but she enjoyed coaching more.

She was on the verge of winning her fifth state title.

Her senior quarterback took a knee and the game was over. She had won.

She showed hardly any emotions as the team celebrated. "Hey Coach, Ma's gonna be happy." Said her younger brother, junior wide receiver, Tommy Rizzoli.

"She will." Jane said as they went to the center of the field for the presentation.
