Maddie Ziegler has just left the ALDC after the passing of her mother, and a scholar ship to a fancy boarding school called Eden Hall has been placed into her hands. Maddie has become a world-wide phenomenon by this point. When she first arrives at...
My legs cramped as I stumbled up the stairs, carrying my large bags behind me. Today was move in day at Eden Hall, and my family had left me to do all of the unpacking on my own. Each of my hands were overflowing unnecessary crap. The paper with my dorm number on slipped out of one of my hands. Shit. I rushed to grab it but someone had already bent over and scooped it up. My eyes wandered upwards to find a tall, dirty-blond haired boy reading over it. Well he's attractive. I thought to myself."Dorm 243 is right over there." He said while turning and pointing towards a set of doors. "Thanks." I said smiling. He blushed softly and handed me back my schedule. "I'm Adam Banks by the way." He added. I looked down at my schedule and then back up at him. "I'm Maddie Ziegler." I responded. "Well it was nice meeting you, but I have hockey practice so I have to go, I'll um.. see you around?" He said while scratching the back of his neck nervously. I nodded before continuing the search for my room. After what felt like hours of walking, I finally stumbled upon door 243. I turned the door knob and shoved the door open. The room had white walls, and two queen-sized bunk beds. Half of the room had already been decorated with someone's things, so I just claimed the empty side. I set my suit case down on the bed and began to put my clothes into the dresser. It didn't take too long so get all of my things situated, all I had left to do was hang my picture collage, and my poster. (The poster is the same photo as the cover of the story.) After I had finally finished everything I grabbed my schedule and took another look at it. Practice - Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday. 3:15 - 6:30. Ugh. I mentally groaned. The time on my phone read 2:49. I pulled out my dance bag and changed into my leotard. I threw my bag over my shoulder and headed out the door.

( Maddie's outfit to dance class )
~ At Dance Practice ~
I walked through the door of the dance complex and noticed a group of girls standing in the corner. After making my way past them, I set my dance bag down and put my contemporary shoes on. I finished pulling them over my feet and stood up. I had the burning sensation that someone was watching me, so I turned around. Sure enough, all of the girls had dropped jaws and wide eyes. "You..you're Ma... Maddie...Ziegler." One of the girls said starry eyed. I nodded my head. "It's nice to meet you guys, um, do any of you happen to know where I can find the instructor?" I said while fiddling with the small ring on my finger. "Ms.Lauren? Oh yeah, she's right over there." Another girl said while directing me towards the teacher. I thanked her and walked over to the woman. "There she is miss Maddie!!! Welcome to Eden Hall!" She said before I could even blink. She pulled me into a hug and I gently hugged her back. "Girls gather up there is someone that I would like you to meet!" Ms.Lauren shouted out. Girls scurried over to us and crowded in a circle. "As I'm sure you all know this is Maddie Ziegler. I would like you all to make her feel welcome as she will be joining our varsity team this season." She continued while smiling down at me. I shook hands with everyone and eventually we started class. Ms.Lauren had given me a solo for the upcoming competition at the school. The solo was called, "Someone Special." (To anyone that hasn't seen this solo of her's you're absolutely missing out. It's incredible.) It was a contemporary piece, with a sad hint to it, but I loved it. Dance class dragged on for a while, but I was kind of sad when it was over. I threw my duffle bag over my shoulder and walked out of the building. I plugged my earbuds into my phone and put on some of my favorite Hawaiian music. (In this story Maddie is originally from Hawaii.) After opening the door to my dorm room, I noticed a small brown haired girl sitting on the other side of the room. "Hi I'm Maddie, you must be my roommate." I said while reaching out my hand. She ran to me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm such a huge fan! My name is Connie, oh my god I can't believe you're my roommate." She said screaming. I laughed and hugged her back. "OH MY GOD MY HOCKEY TEAM WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU!!!!!!!!!" She said cheerfully. I pulled away and nodded. "Sure! I could use some more friends around here." I said while laughing slightly. "But I have a dance competition in a couple of hours, so maybe you guys could come watch?" I said slowly. Connie nodded her head frantically. "They're going to be soooo excited!" She said while running out the door.

After practicing countless pirouettes back stage it was finally my turn to perform. I peered up into the audience to see Connie and her hockey team sitting up in the audience. I smiled to myself just as the announcer came on. "Please welcome to the stage entry number 238, miss Maddie performing 'Someone Special.'" The audience applauded as I walked out onto the stage and got into my starting position.
(That is the dance that Maddie does. It's so good.)
