The waters gone, along with crop, animals are whittling away at nature's will. People are dieing, and people are killing.

For thousands of years this planet has held out on us. And now it decides to just die. You wouldn't belive what chaos is roaming the streets now. People all over the planet are looking for water. Even a small pail would do. Which is exactly how I got in this predicament.

My friends and me were sent to get water for our families. Everyday we'll walk by corpses, but the bodies aren't decaying, instead they become dried out and empty just like this planet.
We walked for days with no sight of water. A Mirage once in a while but that was all. After weeks on the dusty, orange sand that covered the planet we spotted something, we didn't know what but it was something. We raced towards it, as fast as our feet would go. When we got there we discovered it wasn't a worn out cottage, but it was some sort of observatory.

We slow our pace as we get closer to the building.

"I thought," I stutter," these didn't exist."

"It looks just like my dad said it did." Emily says from behind me.

"Holy sh-"

"No cussing!" Sophie cuts me off.

Whatever," I say," mom." I whisper while rolling my eyes.

"Hey, how 'bout you all be quite so we can go in." Emily spits while staring at the old building.

So that's what we do. Sophie and I follow Emily in. We stroll through the narrow hallways till we find a door. Emily quickly opens it and motions for us to follow her in. We look around the strange room until we hear a noise.

Both Sophie and I look at Emily.

"It wasn't me." She whispers with her hands in the air.

Then we hear something again. I turn so I'm facing a bookshelf. I point through the cracks where a figure seems to be looking through something.

Now all of us are crowded in, watching the figure. Then it turns around and we see it.

"Holy sh-"

"No cussing!" Sophie whispers while covering both Emily ' and mine mouths.

Before any of us have a chance to talk the figure does for us.

" I know you're there. You can come out. I won't hurt you." His voice was kind.

Emily and me start to come out from behind the bookshelf when Sophie whispers," He could kill us guys. Don't go." The fear in her eyes is begging for us to hide.

"Either way, we'll die soon." Emily says. She reaches out her hand, "come on."

Sophie takes her hand and we head towards the hooded figure. Before we even get there he says something.

"Earth, it's the only place we can go."

Yep so that's what I did. Obviously it's not real but I dont know if it sticks with what we were supposed to write about. I based my characters off of my friends today.
