Sydney had always had the same exact dream since she was 7 years old. Every night when it came time for Sydney to settle down for bed with a big mug of hot chocolate as soon as she drifted into her deep slumber the dream would begin:

She was sat on a giant rock in the middle of the ocean soaking up the hot ray's of the bright sun. She'd hear some small ripples in the water and would lean closer to get a better look.
Appearing from the deep blue came a woman's face. She was beautiful, the most beautiful woman Sydney had ever seen. This mysterious woman had locks of crystal red that Sydney imagined would reach the woman's knee caps if she was stood up out of the water.  The woman did nothing but just starred at Sydney with her warm hazel eyes.

After several minutes the woman open her perfectly pink lips and started to sing.

She sang a lovely and relaxing tune in Latin it sound like. Sydney went into a trance, like she was sleeping but with her eyes open. The woman encouraged her to come into the water with her. Sydney slide with a small ripple into the water. As she went completely under she saw this woman was a woman from the hips up but below the hips she had a long, pink, glittery tail that shimmer as the sun shone through the water. It was a mermaid.

Before Sydney had time to react the mermaid put her pale hands around Sydney's neck and squeeze hard.

Sydney felt her airways getting tighter and tighter as the mermaid squeezed harder and harder. Sydney fought to survive, she tugged and pulled at the mermaids hands to try and get her to release her grip.

Sydney felt herself get weaker and her chest got heavy from lack of oxygen. She felt her eyes droop and droop until she was barley coherent and then...

She woke up.
