Eli woke up tired. It was his first day of school and he was not prepared. Maybe it was the fact he was 5'3 in his freshman year. Maybe it was his weak arms and unnoticeable face. Maybe it was the entirely new school.
Eli got dressed in dress pants and a red shirt he combed his frizzy brown hair and sighed. He walked to school, alone and uncomfortable.
"Ay! Short stop!" Someone yelled with there friends behind them yelled.
Eli's heart almost stopped as he started to run. The guy chuckled.

Nick woke up and was as unexcited as he could be. He didn't bother trying to comb his hair. He rushed out the door and to the school.
He didn't like his family.
He wondered through the halls. No one messed with him. He was 5'9 and wore hoodies that gave him a very intimidating attire.
Not many people talked to him as he walked to his locker and grabbed his books.
He walked to his first class, math. He walked through the door only to see a small boy in his seat.
"Hey," he said.
"Oh- uh- Is this your seat? I-I'll move-" Eli was frantic and nervous.
"You're fine," Nick said and took a seat he knew was empty.
"Oh umm thanks," Eli said, "I'm Eli."
"Nick," Nick gave him a half smile.
Eli smiled back. Eli's smile soon dissapeared when he saw the boy from earlier walk in.
He went to seat and smirked at Eli.
Nick noticed the sudden change in Eli's expressions, "Hey, you okay?" He asked.
Eli turned to him, "Y-yeah."
"You sure?" Nick asked.
"Mhm." Nick would've pushed further but didn't bother.
"Alright kids," the teacher said, "We're gonna work on algebra."
That was the last thing Nick heard before tuning out entirely.
