Summer,it was a hot, dry day.Bakersfield California.Sam,who was 12 and Hugo,a 4 year old,were playing at a park near a forest.While Sam was distracted,Hugo wandered off,to the outskirt of the park.Sam was swinging happily on the swing,when he noticed his brother wondering off.Hugo was exploring the huge,green trees that were fencing off the whole forest.He saw something strange.He walked closer to it.
"Hugo!" Sam shouted.When he got to Hugo,he was just staring blankly into the forest.
"What are you doing?"Sam wondered out loud.He shook Hugo to get him out of the trance.
"What did you see?"
"Let's go home"Sam said.They walked home safely.They were in Hugo's room.
"What did you see in the forest?"Sam asked.Hugo pointed to the painted clouds decorated on his wall.
"His face was as white as that cloud.He had a big red nose.And he had a white scruffy thing around his neck."Explained Hugo.Dread was far away from Sam at first
"When he saw you walking,he put his finger to his mouth and told me to shush,then he laughed and disappeared."Hugo said it as if it was kind
A shiver ran through Sam's spine.A thought ran through his mind "Oh my gosh,is he describing a clown?"
