Ryota Mitarai x Reader

You were hanging out with your best friend, Ryota Mitarai. You two became friends ever since you stood up for him when he was being bullied as a child. You two were childhood friends and you both have been almost inseparable ever since then.

It was an average day, at least to you it was. You and Ryota were just sitting down and doing nothing at your house. You were bored, so you decided to speak.

"Can we do something?" You asked Ryota. He looked at you.

"Um...Want to watch anime?" Ryota asks. You couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"Of course! Anything other than sitting and doing nothing!" You smiled. You know it's still kind of hard for him to socialize, even to you, and you don't blame him. At least, that's what you assume. You turn on your TV and get onto your account, looking through your anime list.

"Is there anything you want to watch, Ryota?" You asked him as you sit back down.

"A-Anything is fine!" Ryota shifts a bit. You go to the anime that you still had to finish. Halfway through the anime, Ryota pokes you to get your attention.

"What is it Ryota?" You looked at him. Ryota was silent for a minute.

"D-Do you think that my anime...could save people?" He looked at you in the eye.

"Of course! I know that you'll make the best anime ever!" You exclaimed with a big smile on your face.

"D-Do you really think so?"

"Yes! I know so!" You pat his leg. He smiled and looked at his legs.

"I'm glad.." He happily said quietly.

It now has been a few years. You and Ryota were a part of Future Foundation in the 10th branch. You enjoyed spending every moment with him. He has been acting even more nervous around you, and you wondered why. 

You woke up, and left your dorm, making sure to lock it first before you headed towards the kitchen. You walked in to the kitchen, yawning.

"Good morning," You greeted with another yawn.

"G-Good morning." Ryota greeted back. You yawned again and grabbed something to eat. After finishing your small breakfast, Ryota walked over to you.

"Do you want something?" You asked him.

"U-Um..." Ryota started but then became silent.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah..." He looked down at his feet. His cheeks turning pink.

"Alright, what's up?" You smiled at him. He didn't answer.

"Ryota? Are you sure you're okay? You've been really quiet lately." You frown.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine!" He looked up back at you.

"What is it?" You asked him, resting a hand on his arm.

"A-Are we friends?"

"Of course we're friends! We've been friends for a long time, silly!" You couldn't help but giggle.

"N-Nothing more?" He asks you, grabbing your hand that was resting on his arm. You got the message and leaned in. You kissed him on the cheek, pulled back and looked at him.

"If you want to be something more, I'd be happy to!" You said sweetly. His cheeks reddened and he smiled.

"I-I'm glad.."

Ta-da! I got something done! Sorry if I made Ryota a little OOC owo;;;

that's why I'm nervous to try to make any fanfics with Kyoko in it, because I feel like I would just do horribly on her character. So I'm going to hold off on any fics with Kyoko in them for awhile until I feel more comfortable with her.
