Summer was running out of time, and I was not ready for it to end. I didn't want to go back to boring school I wanted to do something different. I wanted to Live.
Being on my phone all day really just bored me, I wanted to be Wild, like the wind. I wanted to be a Teenager that lived Outside exploring the world instead of being cooped up on my phone, I wanted to go on an adventure.
Problem is I didn't know who to take along with me. I knew my Mother wouldn't care if I even left she was to busy with work to notice her daughter missing in action , I knew no one would be willing to go. So I had to force someone, somebody who was quiet. Too quiet that I could open up and make them well , weird.
I look outside my window seeing Jeff my next door neighbor through his. He always seemed so Sad, I never talked to him in my life but apart of me was nervous I guess, and I normally wasn't nervous.
He was at his desk writing some kind of note and he looked like he was crying.
I move my side way bangs from my face so I could get a better look. He was crying. I didn't know what to do, so I just stood there. I stood there to long. He looks over and our eyes met. I could see his dark green eyes from here. I blinked, he caught me staring and I didn't know what to do.
So I stood there looking at him while he looked at me awkwardly.
I couldn't take it anymore so I opened my window leaning over the ledge.
He just stood there with tears in his eyes. I motioned for him to open up his window, but he just shook his head and closed the blinds.
I was not going to let someone do that, being sad and rude. That was like slamming a door in my face.
So I climbed onto the big Oak tree that separated our houses and the white picked fence which was peeling.
I almost slipped causing me to scream but not to loud enough to
When I reached his window I knocked on it.
I sat there for a couple minutes and realized that he wasn't going to open the window, so I opened it myself letting myself into his room only to find him standing on a chair with a rope tied to his neck. Just as he was about to step off the chair I grabbed him.
"What are you doing!" I yelled hugging him tight so he wouldn't move.
"I'm trying to commit my ending to my story." He said bluntly as I reached for the rope that was around his neck. He grabbed my hand to prevent me from grabbing the rope so I just jerked it off his ceiling fan.
"Your story Isn't over yet It just Begun." I let out a breath of air that I had been holding in.
"Why do you say that?" He looks at me as he wipes is face and gets off the chair and sits on it.
I let go of him. "Well you see you were made for a reason."
"I have nothing to live for anyways. My Parents don't care they're to busy fighting, or on a dumb business trip. They never see me, so it wouldn't be a real loss anyways, It's as if I never existed." He smiles as a tear runs down his cheek.
"That was before you met me." I smile at him as I ruffle his dark black hair.
" Like we'll be friends anyways, your in the 'In' group." He says sarcastically laughing.
"No i'm not." I say a little to fast so that it came off a little rude, snappy.
He blinks at me as if I was the insane one, but I wasn't the one who just tried to end my life.
"Don't look at me like that. I know we can become best friends quick I promise. " I nudge his shoulder trying to hide the Awkwardness that lurked between us.
He smiles as he nods his head.
"Okay." He laughs.
