Okay, so it's been a year and a half, but I decided to come back and just write the sequel. What happened was that I finished The Sorcerer, then thought, "Okay, I can take a little break now, then actually finish The New Bacca." Well, heh, I looked at my pre written work for the next chapter and it was all trash and not even remotely realistic whatsoever as far as human behavior goes. Don't take that wrong and get on my a** about how it stars a hybrid, I only meant that nobody cares about anything in school and the bullies aren't gonna be beating someone up in the middle of the hallway with no teachers around. That's just stupid. If you're gonna fight, you're going one-on-one in the hallways and the teachers are gonna know real fast. Nobody picks on kids like that, anymore, kids are smarter about that, now. They just make fun of you behind your back or tell you to shut up repeatedly. Maybe cause you pain in a way that's obviously intended for that purpose but it's still too little of a reason to attack them. Maybe you have a popular friend who you have a fight with and they tell all their friends some story about how you hurt their feelings and everyone comes up to you and goes, "Why would you do that to them?" and give you dirty looks in the hallway. Maybe even the staff bullies you when you're eight and they yell at you for getting a roll of bread in the lunch line when you have a sandwich. Then you try to put it back when you feel bad and they yell at you again and you're eight, so you start crying because apparently you're a bad person and can't fix it. Then the teacher in the lunch line yells at you for crying and pulls you out of the lunch line and calls in your father after school for a parent-teacher conference to talk about the fact that you're socially handicapped when you're just fine in reality and only cried when you did something bad. However, little did your father know that the suggested lunch program for the socially handicapped is actually a once-a-week anger management course. And then you go and they have long lectures in class about why if you're angry at some kid on the playground, you shouldn't punch him. And when you have tests you always give the polite response because you don't have anger issues and everyone else in the room keeps having spouts of anger about the fact that they would beat the kid to a pulp and you're like, "Wut." And the teacher says that you've really improved even though you've been fine the whole time and everyone in the class likes you because you're so nice. And you realize years later exactly how they messed you up and it makes you wonder exactly why you were there for anger management because your guilty eight-year-old conscience made you cry. Maybe they thought it was a child crying for what they wanted. Maybe it was because you were really nice and they wanted to sneak in a nice kid as a good example for the bad kids, but you doubt that they'd plan that well. I mean WHAT THE F**K?! I mean, there are tons of ways you can be emotionally bullied.
But, yeah, I just thought, "Am I going to attempt to fix this mess and re-write it? Or am I just going to get to the Seto sequel?" And I just kept procrastinating...for a year.
Half of this is rant. I'm sorry you've waited for this.
Enjoy! :D
I woke up in the morning thinking, "F**k the world, I'm a G," as pixelated sunglasses lowered over my eyes and Supa Hot Fire OHHHHHHs played in the background. Then I actually woke up. I rolled out of bed and started falling asleep on the floor.
My mother rushed in to see if I was alright. Then she told me to get ready. I actually bothered to get dressed and went potty. I heard my mother yell at me to pick my dirty clothes off the floor.
"Okay," I said, but I did nothing and closed my door so she wouldn't see that I ignored her.
Downstairs, my sisters Sarah and Shelby were eating cereal and doing last minute homework. I actually did mine, but that was because I didn't have anything better to do (and I didn't start it until ten o'clock, so I was up until one). My father didn't seem very happy with them and he gave me a calculating glare to dare me to do the same. I just sat down and started eating, so he gave a nod like, "That's right, not all my kids are slackers," and looked down at the newspaper.
Glad to not irritate you, father.
I walked outside with my backpack and since it was February, it was still dark. I didn't feel like tripping over any fallen branches after the storm last night, so I gave myself night vision to get to the bus bench, then shut it off, because my eyes were glowing and Panda was right there with the universe adventures squad.
Tomato was Mullusk today, since it was cold out, as they were usually Mullusk for going outside in the winter months. (That sentence reads like I was taking a crud while writing it. Oh well) Panda was wearing a black trench coat and playing on her phone. Rainbow was sleeping? Kind of? It looked like she was putting up an effort to, anyway. Jackson was just kind of staring solemnly off into the distance with a soda in his hand. I decided not to ask.
I heard Shelby and Sarah come out of the house behind me as I plopped down.
"Hey," I said to the general group.
"Hey." "Hello." "Hi." "Howdy."
"Glad we're keeping it original guys."
We all just kind of continued to exist until the bus arrived and we grumbled at it as it made its way toward us.
As I walked on, I heard from behind me, "Every morning, I hope that it snowed or rained just around the school or the power went out or the roof is pouring in! It only worked that one time in fifth grade..."
I tuned out the melodrama from there on. I don't need s**t like this isn't the morning. I sat next to Panda.
"Are you gonna upload something today? Or at all in the near future?" she asked.
"Nope," I responded, still staring straight ahead.
"But you told us that you were just focusing on your Runescape for now and then you'd be back! You've leveled up as much as you possibly can in December, now when are you gonna get back on YouTube?"
I gave a noncommittal shrug and she groaned in annoyance.
"Screw you, Jimmy." I nodded.
This was what most grumpy morning conversations consisted of. We just all hated each other before eight.
As we pulled up to the high school, I couldn't help but think that maybe I should get back on, but...it seemed like too much effort. Then again, even if I was busy with AP classes now, maybe I could just post a video a week. I didn't think people would mind, considering I'd been gone for two years. Now in junior year, I had some traction that could leave me some leeway. It wasn't like I was doing anything better with my time. Would they mind if I did some UNDERTALE videos? Was my channel strictly Minecraft for them? I'd only been doing UNDERTALE recently. Although, it's only really watchable content if it was the first time I played. Oh, well, I needed to brush up on my Minecraft knowledge, anyway. It wasn't that I didn't like Minecraft anymore, I still played it, just not as much as other games at the moment.
I had first period with Ty and Kyle this semester and we had about fifteen minutes until class would start. Of course, they crowded around my corner desk.
"Jimmy, wanna play some survival games with us after school?" They asked this every week, at least once, all of them. Usually I'd say no, but something about today and how tired I was had me not thinking clearly, so without thinking, I said,
"Sure."
I don't know who was more shocked. ...Probably them, since I was still numb.
"Really?!" Kyle actually squealed. No taking it back, now.
"Yeah, now let me sleep before class starts."
"Okay, how about at five? We can choose the server over Skype." Ty was grasping the opportunity by the horns, clearly seeing the advantage they had over me at the moment.
"Mmhmm," I mumbled into my arms. 'Let me sleeeeep.'
"Okay, no backing out!" With that, they left me alone.
The ten minute bell blared over head. I almost whined. Sleep.
