WMG #1 or "The Pillars of our home" as we called it, is where the foundation of WMG was built. And in here we will continue to build this foundation to make it a much better and stronger place to help other writers here at Wattpad.

It was 2015 when I met Elydia Reyes, for some reason...and I have no idea why. Maybe because she's one of the most beautiful people I met here at Watty (not only on the outside but also on the inside) or maybe she's just really kind and real patient with my babbling but we became friends and seriously... it has got nothing to do with me, it was all her! She's really nice, I am not! And no matter how much I resist this fine young woman, it happened, it just happened! Somehow, there's this kind of bond between us and since then we help and support each other's journey here at Wattpad.
A few months later, we met another beautiful soul here at watty. Her name is Barbie (I am not so going to mention her full name because she's pretty private about her endeavor here at watty). We call her 'Ate Barbs'. Elyds (Elydia's nickname) and I share the same kind of friendship and bond with her.
When Ate Barbs became part of that friendship, Elyds thought of creating a group at Facebook. Now, here is a little trivia, folks! Originally, it was Elyds, Liza and I who first shared that bond and friendship. (And we still do up to this moment) but the thing is, Liza is not a Filipina. Yes, we are Filipinas ladies and gentleman. (Pardon my English and I am so going to speak Tagalog later because not only my nose but also my ears are bleeding already. After this chapter, if I continue to use English, I'll be dead causing loss of blood.)
Now, there's NO DISCRIMINATION or whatsoever, it's just that...the reason why Liza has never been part nor been added to the group chat... even if she's such a sweetheart and a dear friend to us with Elyds and we love her so much, Liza doesn't know how to speak our native language which is Filipino or Tagalog. And because of that we hesitated to add her to our FB group chat (please forgive us sweet Liz). We simply don't want her to feel out of place once we speak Tagalog... it's inevitable, plus, it would be unethical to speak an unknown language when there is someone who doesn't understand. But we love you Liza, you will always be a wordsmith to us. There will be a very special chapter for you here because you're a part of this.
Now back to history, like I said, it was Elyds who thought of creating the group. First, the group chat, me, Elyds and Barbs are talking and throwing ideas how the page would be and how could the FB page benefit our journey here at watty. All we want is just a page for our story, not for fame or anything. We just wanted to reach our friends at Facebook and promote our stories. So, we all agreed to that and then...the hard part, we need to come up with a name, a name that is quite hard to come up because...hey, we are just human beings who write and we write for the purpose of killing some time...alright! We presumed we had the talent and we want to be noticed...there I said it!
Ideas came out popping for a name, and then we all go along with "wordsmith mystique." 'Wordsmith', as Google defines it, is a skilled user of words while 'mystique' is a fascinating aura of mystery, awe, and power surrounding someone or something and/or an air of secrecy surrounding a particular activity or subject that makes it impressive or baffling to those without specialized knowledge. Yeah, right... I know, who are we to consider ourselves with such definition but hey, we can do that to ourselves, it's a privy when you create a group page.
And please wipe that smirk off on your face because the person who came up with that name is the real reason to smirk... it was me. Yup, yours truly, A.H. Augustus and I am not going to apologize for that because somehow...at some point of our journey here at Watty, I mean not all the time but at some point... The three of us (Elyds, Barbs and I) managed to have the skills to use words that somehow created awe or aura of mystery that fascinates and impresses our readers. (Take note: AT SOME POINT not all the time.) So, yes, we all agreed to name our FB page/group 'Wordsmith Mystique.'
From three members, another beautiful person named Cyril came in addition to our group and then days, weeks and months passes by and more wordsmith with mystiques are coming in, like, Joan, Charm, Maykie, Leonor, Micx, Myra and they are all willing and happy to be part of the group. For months, we enjoyed and we are still enjoying each other's company over messenger. Some of us met personally, others are not available for the meet up but regardless, we all share the same bond and friendship.
The page and especially the GC became noisy, from being acquaintances; we all became accustomed to each other that led this group chat to create more unique bonds. And as I watched these fine wordsmiths chatting and goofing around, I realized there is something more about these women.
Not just the skills to come up with fascinating words or not just an aura of mystery. They are all beautiful inside and out; there's wit, humor, love, trust, respect, compassion and there's a lot of goodness in their hearts. At some point, our relationship or we famously call "chika" has turned into something more special that we come to share our personal emotions to everybody. We share each other problems or struggles, our pains, happiness, accomplishments and everything. We share it to the GC and each and every one of us is willing and happy to help, listen or share the same joy or pain with each other.
For me, personally, they're my angels. I wouldn't be where I am right now here at Wattpad if they had not supported all my works. They are my inspiration among some other friends. But these darlings they're my inspiration to my upcoming series, but that's another story and it isn't part of this story. So, let us ignore that.
We all laugh, cried sometimes together or felt happy that one of us found her true love and is going to tie the knot. At one point, we are happy and filled with pride that one of us has her owned self-published book, or when not just one of us but quite a few joined and won some writing contest, or when one, two or more of us asked by someone here at Wattpad to be a judge at their contest.
We are at each other's back, we don't just share our feelings but we held each other and support each and every one to any endeavor and it's not just a simple Wordsmith Mystique page, it's not just a group chat and it isn't just a group of gem linked by a common interest which is writing. Wordsmith Mystique is beyond that. We are connected somehow. It's a sisterhood! And from there...I thought I should share these wonderful creatures to all of you.
Allow me to introduce you the fine women of Wordsmith Mystique, who used to be angels. Used to because they're now promoted (including myself) to Archangels.
On the following chapters and after you get to know us a little bit from our mini-biography and get to know more of us from our published works, allow yourselves to know more about the purpose of Wordsmith Mystique Guild by joining in.
We, the Archangels of Wordsmith Mystique would like to turn this sisterhood into Wordsmith Mystique Guild and it is now open to all genders, not just women....The application form is posted here somewhere. But BEWARE! There will be some STRICT RULES! And the first rule is to read the following chapters until you reach the form and until you will feel comfortable and satisfied enough to fill it up. So, 'YOU' could join us and be a part of our triumphant world created by friendship, trust, respect, compassion and pride.
