A Thousand Years {Hey Arnold! Fan-Fiction}

{Chapter 1}

I woke up and looked over at my alarm clock and noticed I was late so I hopped out of bed and got dressed and ran downstairs and grabbed a granola bar I ate it in three bites.
I grabbed my bag and slung it over my back and didn't even bother telling my parents that I was leaving for school.
While I was walking to school I crashed into someone I looked up it was Arnold.
"Arnold l?!" I say
He looks up at me
"Yeah." He replies
"I mean watch where your going football head!" I say and stand up and dust of my dress
"Helga I'm so sorry I didn't mean too." He says defensively
"Yeah whatever... Well I gotta get to school I'm running late." I say pushing a Strand of hair behind my ear
"Can I walk with you in running late too." He says
"Sure just don't expect me to be nice like this all the time." I say starting to walk
"Whatever you say Helga." He says before trudging behind me
When we got to school I went to my locker and he went to his I looked over at him to see what he was doing when I saw him talking to lila.
Arnold what a loser what a corny corn dog.
How I despise him....
And yet I love the football head....
So she did something she thought she would never do.
"Hey Arnold." I say acting cool
"Oh hey Helga you've met lila before right?" He asks gesturing towards Lila
"Yes we have." I say snapping
"What's wrong Helga I thought we were the best of friends." Says Lila smirking
"Alright you two brake it up we better get to class I don't think we wanna be late." He says
"Yeah see you around Helga." And Lila walked off
"What?!" He asks looking at me
"Why are you talking to her you know the group doesn't like her." I say
"Well she's not that bad once you get to know her." He says backing her up
"I see how it is she's more important to you than your own friends." I say getting angry
"Helga I never said that and you know it." He says crossing his arms
"Arnold just leave me alone." I say starting to walk off
I heard him call my name a couple times that only made me walk faster when I got into class phoebe looked over at me.
"Helga where were you?!" She asked whisper shouting
"I was running late Miriam took my clock out of my room again." I say
"Oh I see well guess what."  She says with excitement in her voice
"What?" I asked having no Idea what she's talking about
"Gerald asked me out on a date." Says phoebe
"Miss Heyerdahl and miss Pataki turn and face the front or I will not hesitate to give you detention." Says the teacher glaring at us
"Yes m'am." We both said before turning to the front
Arnold suddenly walked in with a cat like grace.
"Hello Arnold you can take a seat right next to Helga." He says smiling
"Ok." He says before taking his seat behind me
"Helga listen I'm sorry for what happened back there what can I do to make it up to you?" He asked pleadingly
I ignored him I was mad at him for even talking to Lila.
The bell rung and I was the first one out of the classroom
"Helga! Wait up!" Says Arnold catching up to me
"What is it football head?" I asked
"I'm sorry I didn't mean anything I said I was just angry." He says
"Ok I forgive you." I say
"Good." He says before unexpectedly hugging me
I hugged him back.
We gazed into each-others eyes before leaning in.
We got interrupted by a faint cough we turned around it was Gerald.
"What's going on here was i interrupting something?" He asked smirking at us
"No we were just hugging." Says Helga
"Yeah sure um anyways Arnold are you still coming over to my house tomorrow to try out my new game?" Asked  Gerald
"Sorry I'm gonna be going over to Helga's house sorry." He says smiling at me
I swooned.
Oh Arnold my love finally I will show you my nice caring loving mushy side and then you'll fall hard like I have for you....
"Ok whatever." He says shrugging before walking off
"So your coming over to my house tomorrow huh?" I asked  smirking at him
"Why yes, yes I am if you don't Mind." He says
"No I don't mind it's just why did you turn down your best friend over me I'm completely rude to you." I say
"Helga I know there's another side to you and I wanna see it." He says gazing into my eyes
"Arnold I-" I says before tearing up before looking the other direction I didn't want for Arnold to see me cry ever
"Helga what's wrong?" He asked bringing me in an warm embrace
"Oh football head I'm scared to show my nice side I'm afraid to get judged." I say sniffling
"If they judge you then they can judge me too I'm tired of everyone treating you so horribly so think of me as your moral support." He says kissing my forehead
I swoon cause he kissed my forehead.
"Arnold did you know you just kissed my-." I say
He nods and smiles.
"Helga your gorgeous when you smiling I love seeing you smile." He says
"Thanks football head.... But you don't have to pity me." I say looking down again
"Helga stop putting yourself down its not fair your beautiful caring sweet kind and you have true potential." He says
I smile widely at him and say.
"Do you really mean that Arnold?" I ask
"Of course I do." He says
"Thanks you made me feel a whole lot better." I say hugging him again
"Hey anytime I hate seeing you sad it kills me inside." Says Arnold
"I love you football head." I say
"I love you too Helga." He says kissing my forehead once more
Which love did I mean I know I love Arnold as a friend I'm not sure If I like him the other way too I mean he does have the nose adorable green eyes and adorable nose....
Ok I'm going to admit it to myself....
I like Arnold.....
