Cupid was busy (Ant and Dec Fanfic)

Talking at SNT

It was an exciting day for the boys and the rest of the crew, as the final show of the series was being filmed on a cruise ship in Spain. Ant and Dec loved spending time with each other before the show began, and also with other friends of theirs.

Just before the show, Ant and Dec went for a chat with their good friend, Ashley Roberts.
"Hey Ash, why do you keep looking at Steven?" Dec asked her after a while.
"Oh, I think I've seen his shirt somewhere before," She replied nervously.
"It was probably when Steven was wearing it!"

They all laughed at Ant's silly remark, then Ant and Dec went off to read over the script one last time.
"Hey Ant, do you really think Ashley was telling the truth back there?" Dec asked his best friend.
"What are you on about, mate?" Ant replied, slightly confused by his TV partner.
"You know what I mean, Ant! The shirt!" Dec was desperate to get it through to his best mate, but was being careful, just in case anyone could hear them. He didn't want to spill the secret that Ashley could've been hiding.
"I really don't know what you mean! What do you mean?" Ant had no clue why Dec was being so vague about what he was trying to say.
"I mean about Steven," Dec replied, in the quietest whisper he could.

Unfortunately, this whisper wasn't quite quiet enough and, just around the corner, Ashley was listening to everything her two friends were saying. What she didn't know, was that Dec was only trying to help her out by getting the word of her supposed crush around to Steven, not hurt her by telling everyone the secret.
