"I almost gave you a mouth on your forehead Derek."
Derek laughs.
DEREK
"We both know you're a terrible shot man."
Shaw turns back towards the mirror and stares at his reflection.
SHAW
"Is everything ready?"
Derek scratches his head.
DEREK
"Yeah, I think so. The product is on route."
SHAW
"Good."
Shaw pauses.
SHAW
"Have a sample?"
Derek chuckles.
DEREK
"Of course man. The boss always gets a sample."
Derek pulls something wrapped in tin foil from his pocket, and throws it at Shaw when he turns around.
Shaw looks at the tinfoil and then back at Derek.
SHAW
"Go now."
Derek looked confused.
DEREK
"But I thought we were going to share."
Shaw continues to stare at Derek in silence.
DEREK
"Okay, Never mind. I'll see you tomorrow night."
Derek turns around and leaves the basement.
Shaw pulls a chair towards the mirror he had been staring in, sits, and continues to stare at himself.
ENTER SHAW'S THOUGHTS
(DISTORTED) INSIDE SHAW'S MIND
"Aren't you going to block the pain some more?"
Shaw shifts his stare away from the mirror.
(DISTORTED) INSIDE SHAW'S MIND
"DON'T YOU LOOK AWAY FROM ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU."
Shaw looks back at the reflection in terror.
(DISTORTED) INSIDE SHAW'S MIND
"I'm here to help you brother. Without me you'd fall apartment."
Shaw nods in agreement, closing his eyes, still afraid.
(DISTORTED) INSIDE SHAW'S MIND
"Don't worry brother. I'll never leave you."
Shaw takes a breath and looks back into his eyes.
SHAW
"Thank you for having my back."
The basement door opens again. Shaw jumps back to his feet, and points the colt back at the door.
SECOND INTRUDER
"BRO, RELAX! ITS ME."
Shaw lowers the colt again.
SHAW
"Dammit Brendon you know better to sneak up on me like this."
Brendon walks down the basement steps towards Shaw.
BRENDON
"Why are you so jumpy bro? Are you on the stuff again?"
Brendon says angrily. He moves closer to Shaw and tries to put his hand on his cheek to check his eyes. Shaw backs away.
